But it could do with an update so that you could ally up with other countrys/empires and a simple notification that tells you that your at war with someone. They've been saying for a long time now that we would get a multiplayer, but that hasn't happened yet. Any positive reviews must be fake. The game is a complete joke. ### 1/5 — Poor show gents *2010-09-29, version 0* I don't normally leave reviews but I went against the accepted wisdom and bought this game, having dismissed other tirades against it as nothing. Oh no, how wrong was I?! It keeps crashing during the campaign mode and cutting me off. I love these kind of games, and this really put a dampener on my day - get it fixed whoever you are, ### 1/5 — Cheap *2010-09-18, version 0* Same game sold separately, just lame. DO NOT BUY THEM ALL!!!! Also, this NEEDS an undo button. With all the stupid 'nexts' that you have to press, you eventually hit end turn accidentally, it's really dumb. All of the games pit together would be worth $3-5, not individually. Honestly, most people shouldn't buy any at all as the maps don't create enough of a change to warrant the price. Advice: Download free version, play it a while. Unless you ABSOLUTELY love it, don't pay for the other ones. ### 2/5 — The major empire is missing, Ottoman Turks *2011-05-14, version 1.0.3* How can you call this the age of empires when you totally miss the Ottoman Turkish empire which ruled up until WW1. upgrade your empires and it will feel more real. ### 2/5 — Can't launch campaign after update *2010-08-24* Since the HD update, i cant launch a campaign. It allows me to select a scenario, but the window for selecting an empire is cut off. Since I'm unable to choose an empire, I'm unable to actually play the game. This game is heavily overpriced. There is a bit of lag, there's no way to make alliances, and there hasn't been an update for at least five months. Too little for too much *2010-04-28, version 0* The game itself is good, but it's not that polished and the decision to split the game into small (differently priced) maps of the world is lame. It's a 99 cent app at best. The inclusion of other maps might push up it's value, but there's no way I'm buying the same game again and again with a minor variation in gameplay. Several scenarios from different time periods. Lots of depth for the price! My one issue: you have to completely exit out of the game to get back to the menu. A return to menu button would be appreciated.
