Game is very good - don’t trust 2.5 star reviews, those aren’t serious players. It’s mostly free, but paying $2 every now and then really helps boost quality of your heroes. One fatal flaw is that in each server there are 1-2 whales who spend thousands of $ and get SO much stronger than everyone else. Devs won’t automatically reassign them to an older server, so it’s the #1 reason most people quit the game. ### 2/5 — Not what I was looking for. *2026-08-23, version 1.13.100* I wanted something that filled me with a sense of adventure, danger, and wonder. You know kinda like the desktop version in the 90’s or even Ark. What this game give is a sense of accomplishment. That’s it. 15 minutes of game play, I have a massive plot of land I did nothing to achieve. A ton of workers and buildings. It’s just like any other tutorial based farm game. You don’t choose the direction or pace you grow in this game. 0 choices. 0 risk. 0 accountability. I remember a style of gameplay, where while scouting for animals, to battle and collect resources from, finding mysterious groups of patrolling soldiers. And having to decide if your leather clad hunters could take on a group of six centurion warriors. Naw better wait for a smaller patrol, that captain looks fierce. So if you want a game that strips you of your time, and ability to strengthen your own judgment play this. Do not listen to the ones saying it is good game because that is a complete lie. IT’S NOT. It has some of the same graphics but it’s an entirely different game. Loved AOE as a kid and was looking forward to being able to play it on my phone. Biggest letdown ever. The game honestly sucks.
