The game is turn based but besides that feels very similar to a classic desktop rts experience. There seems to have a depth of play styles depending on faction choice which I love. So if you’re looking for a mobile option for your strategy fix this is a great choice and one of the best I’ve found. ### 5/5 — Pure Strategy *2025-05-29, version 1.025* I have played this game for several years now. It has gone through constant updates and changes. Imagine an advanced chess game. It is not for the faint of heart, this game is meant for die hard strategy fans. This is a niche that no one else fills. Two things to think about, if you make an army building mechanic, like give units pts, and make them able to recruit. You would be the first ever mobile miniature game. 2. Just clean up mechanics, like disengagement attacks and such. Your core gameplay loop is there, maps are awesome, and effects and art are perfect. It’s full of micro-font impossible to read. And only a 3-step zoom. Two stars for now. Will check back in 6-months. — As soon as I picked the Tutorial and saw the micro-sized font and almost exited and deleted the app as 98% of, so-called ‘developers’, don’t seem to understand that you just can’t shrink the screen down to the iPhone format, as the font, obviously, is WAY to small to be read. Something possessed me to try the two fingers zoom and it did! THANK YOU! It would be nice if the window to read in was bigger. Maybe a double-tap zoom? Now off to learn the game . Can’t get out of the beginning ### 3/5 — I’ve written a review but apparently it doesn’t exist *2024-07-05* Short version - good game - end turn time can take way to long in large games, as in over a minute, sometimes endless and just makes the game completely unplayable, locked in an endless AI turn phase -game ending glitch with any unit that has a green AOE, plague poison etc. explosion, the animation endlessly repeats. **Developer response:** I have fixed some of these, about others please write in email or on discord (i am Stratego) thanks! daniel ### 4/5 — Great, but could improve *2026-01-17, version 1.029* Firstly, I think there should be the option to clear all your upgrades and be refunded at least 90% of your gems. If you come back to the game with all your upgrades in your old favourite race and you have a new favourite race, you can’t transfer those upgrades so you basically can’t use your past progress. Secondly, the organization of the upgrade section should be better. Right now it’s just organized by sections corresponding to a race, but sections from the same race are still separate from each other. I suggest organizing it by race, and in a race section there are units, buildings, and technology sections. Since there are way more units than buildings and technology, you could also have categories for melee, ranged, and magical. ### 4/5 — underrated *2025-12-28, version 1.029* Pretty dang good so far ### 4/5 — Cool *2025-10-26, version 1.028* Fun time killer can be a little slow at times but I would recommend this game to anyone a fan of the genre ### 4/5 — This should be way more popular than it seems. *2025-01-31, version 1.022* I’m amazed this game isn’t more popular. Maybe sharing a name with a popular format for a tabletop game means it isn’t showing as high on the google results?? Anyway, awesome maps, unit variety, faction flavour. Can only assume the other games, strategy and WW2 feel similar. I wish it was more popular as I am getting stuck in certain missions and would like to see how other people approached the same missions. If this is just a labour of love please continue as you have made something real special here and the fact it’s free and not pay to win is just 👌 ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2024-11-14, version 1.019* Not the best, but good ### 4/5 — Great, but…issues *2024-07-09, version 1.017* Great idea so far but haven’t been able to play much. Custom campaign was fun but turns took beyond a reasonable amount of time for a quick pull and play. Also the easy campaign second mission I’m infinitely stuck on neutral’s turn (which sucked cause I was so close to beating that level). I had played the early version on my mobile phone and loved it. I love the strategy and the development of characters. It causes you to think before you move. The in depth information of each character is extremely helpful and important which helps you to know how to use them properly. If you like commanding and developing huge armies.
