### 3/5 — Update?

*2018-02-06, version 2.6*

Can you update please for the latest iOS please please?

### 4/5 — Great games but minor problems

*2017-08-26, version 2.6*

Love the old style pinball machines, but the Classic mode is waaaaaay too slow! There should be a variable table steepness option.

I bought a 3 pack that included Voyager and Beastmaster. Voyager has very little happening. The knock downs across the board do not do anything. It could be a lot more interesting. Beastmaster cannot be played in Hardcore mode. The ball never reaches the top to enter the game area (similar for some other tables). Please fix these tables and make the steepness better. Otherwise, I'd like a refund for this 3 pack.

### 2/5 — Lack of Proper Nudging

*2016-05-18, version 2.6*

Implementation of the inverted swipe nudging in Zaccaria Pinball would make these tables playable.

### 4/5 — Needs swipe and invert nudge settings

*2015-10-10, version 2.6*

Add swipe nudge and invert nudge options and I'll buy all IAPs, and give 5 stars. Great work.

### 3/5 — used to be five star

*2015-03-01, version 2.6*

I came back to this game after taking a pinball break. The tables are still enjoyable though sometimes on a playthrough, randomly one of the balls will
not reload to the plunger. Is anyone else having this problem? Usually its only on the 90's tables.

### 2/5 — Have these devs ever played pinball?

*2014-11-03, version 2.6*

Laughable ball physics, just plain awful. The pinball game that came with Windows 95 is more playable. Which is sad because the design is pretty nice.

### 2/5 — Age of Pinballs

*2014-09-25, version 2.6*

This used to be one of my favorite games, but the developers apparently are having difficulty in keeping up with upgrades in the operating system, and the game keeps crashing, particularly on the later tables. Incredibly frustrating, and I'm nearly at the point of deleting it entirely from my iPad. And to top it all off, the "report a problem" link takes one to a page describing the Theme Park table with no way (as far as I can see) of reporting problems of any kind. VERY poor customer support!

### 3/5 — not bad, but needs work

*2014-09-19, version 2.6*

The main problem with this series, is that the aspect ratio for the tables is completely wrong. They're too short and stumpy, and the developers tried to compensate for this by making everything run slow. It really doesn't help. The whole thing needs to be redesigned with more realistic table sizes, allowing for more realistic physics. I will give them credit for not being stingy with the number of free tables, tho.

### 3/5 — Once my favorite

*2014-08-16, version 2.6*

This used to be my favorite pinball game. The tables are unique and have clever theming. But with the latest update, the physics are messed up. It's as if the table now has a much steeper slope, making gameplay nearly impossible. Previously, that could be triggered by "hardcode" mode. But now it's the default. The ball drains so quickly, all the fun is taken out of it. Also, for the last several updates the ball has had an annoying effect applied to it, as if the glass was smeared with Vaseline. It's difficult to look at.

I really want to like this game, but given its current state I no longer enjoy playing it.

### 1/5 — Update ruined everything

*2014-03-17, version 2.6*

I recently updated this game and now the app keeps crashing. Not only that will I be able to keep my in app purchases or do I have buy them all over again. I did not have any trouble with this app until I wanted to try to update it. Will you be able to fix this app because I really do miss playing it, and I enjoy it.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2014-03-04, version 2.6*

Description says 13 available tables but yet I can only get one without paying. Decent other than that.

### 1/5 — Too much begging

*2014-02-26, version 2.6*

The layout is filled with in-app begging. The flipper responses too slow. When you open the app, they forces a Game Center login upon you. The only good thing out of this app is that you get 12 pinballs to toy with.

### 1/5 — Pinball

*2014-02-25, version 2.6*

Flippers are too slow in reaction time. Played it three times and deleted it. Sorry.

### 2/5 — Deleted already...

*2014-02-17, version 2.6*

Lag between when flipper "button" pushed and when it actuates very annoying. Deleted app after a couple games.

### 2/5 — Designs are horrible

*2014-01-26, version 2.6*

They just use crappy skins over crappy designs that some kid in college I guess spent a few hours on. Much better apps out there. It's cheap but you get what you pay for. Boring garbage basically.

### 4/5 — Almost 5 stars

*2013-12-24, version 2.6*

Great graphics and fun. For those who asked, after a lot of playing, I figures out how to get to the bottom playing field in Vampire. You have to shoot into the center skill-shot hole while the yellow "start mode" (?) light is on (3rd light from bottom). Only problem is that sometimes the ball gets stuck when exiting this mode. Also, if 2 balls go into one of these capture holes at once the balls get stuck. You have to restart the game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great game, but no OS support

*2018-02-04, version 2.6*

Update OS and now the game will will not run at all. !!!
Wanted to buy more of the tables but cannot run the game at all. Try to go to the App support web site but it does not work either. Look like no one is supporting this App. At all.

### 1/5 — No longer functions

*2017-12-20, version 2.6*

Used to be five stars, now one , please update this app to work with the new iOS

### 1/5 — Do not work with iOS 11

*2017-11-20, version 2.6*

Do not work any longer with iOS 11!
Please update!

### 1/5 — Bad

*2017-07-23, version 2.6*

No updates

### 1/5 — Only ONE free pinball table

*2016-02-04, version 2.6*

So I downloaded this game because the description states you get certain tables for free which I liked because you at least get more than one table free to try before buying. After downloading the game and starting it, I had ONE table that was free. The other pinball tables that the description claimed to be "free" were $1.99. That's false advertisement!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Not cool

*2015-05-18, version 2.6*

I was disappointed bcuz u have to pay for all these other tables and u only get one out of like 50 different tables for free. I'm not usually one to pay for for apps or in app purchases so I deleted it.

### 1/5 — Generic waste of time

*2015-03-06, version 2.6*

I tried several of these free tables and the physics are weak, the action is terrible, and the table design and sounds are as generic as it gets. I rarely review an app if it's no good - I normally just delete it and move on. But this pinball game was just that disappointing. Don't waste your time.

### 1/5 — Don't download!

*2015-02-26, version 2.6*

They say you get 13 free tables but it's not true. You really only get one and the main menu is confusing for young kids.

### 1/5 — In app purchase is a must.

*2014-11-03, version 2.6*

I don't mind paying for games but it just leaves a bad taste when IAP is required.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2014-09-17, version 2.6*

Slow flippers, impossible physics and ball speed, bumpers throw the ball into the sides. It's just not fun.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It's Pinball Heaven!!!!

*2015-02-21, version 2.6*

Great job, guys! I play every time I get the chance.
Incredible graphics, good reaction and cool sounds.
It'll freeze every once in a while, but I ain't mad!!
When I'm rich, I'll fill my basement with these games!
Thx again!

### 5/5 — Glitch

*2015-01-11, version 2.6*

Sometimes i try to shoot the ball and somehow it gets out.I still like the game though.

### 5/5 — Age of Pinballs

*2014-04-19, version 2.6*

Pretty good. :) Don't have wi- fi? Download it at a Starbuck's, they got wi- fi. This was the only way I can get this cool game. Rating it Five Stars. :o)

### 5/5 — Entertaining

*2013-05-19, version 2.5*

Age of Pinballs is a great pinball game for iOS. It comes with a few good pinball tables and modes to start with, but you can purchase more to make the game even better! I've been playing the game for much time, and I've experienced very few problems. The only issue I currently have occurs when playing on my original iPad: after finishing a game, the text box to insert my high score doesn't appear, and after about 3-5 seconds, the app crashes.

Besides this minor problem, Age of Pinballs will give pinball fans countless hours of entertainment, and I definitely recommend getting it.

### 5/5 — The best pinball app available

*2012-04-13, version 2.4*

I've been playing this game for a little over three weeks now alongside a couple other pinball apps, both paid and free, and this is the best pinball app available. The ball physics are particularly sharp and the levels are simple, yet just complex enough to mimic the similar 80's and 90's tables we used to play on. I would like to see some actual tables emulated on here at some point, but this may be far-fetched. Even so, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a simple, no-frills pinball experience.

Also, some of the in-game purchases are more fun than others, I highly recommend the extra levels.

Note to developer: After the recent update, you've no doubt gotten the bad reviews of crashes and whatnot. I've had nothing of the sort, but I've noticed you've either weighted the ball more or weakened the flippers a bit, and it's very noticeable on tables like tank attack where the ball is unable to roll up the ramps 90% of the time (in my experience). I'm also disappointed to see the new table is only available to those with a Facebook, as I do not have one and don't plan to get one just to get a new table that should be included in a table pack. Thanks and keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Love from the very beginning

*2012-01-19, version 2.0*

This app has made great leaps in the past 5 months since I have purchased this game. Everything from the physics to the ball it's self has improved greatly. If you are unhappy with this current stage of development I urge you to keep it or u will be sorry. I never knew how enjoyable pin ball could be before I got this game! My only concern is the rising number of 1 stars. This game is great if not epic and u shouldn't review something before you get to play it!

### 5/5 — Great overall pinball experience on iPhone 4

*2011-11-06, version 1.8*

Played on my iPhone 4 / iOS v. 5

Very satisfied with the overall game experience. As close to the real thing as one could expect on an iPhone 4. Good graphics, ball movement, and flipper reaction. I'm all about supporting good apps such as this and since I got the app free, it was an easy decision to purchase the Retro Sound FX. Really impressed that there are plenty of free tables along w/ the new one (Cleopatra). Having different game modes is a great added feature and changes up the variety of game play that much more. Thanks!

Improvement to features suggestion:
-Would be nice to choose exact camera mode instead of cycling through. Maybe a dropdown when clicking on the camera icon and then being able to select the camera mode number desired.
-Pause mode: Ability to pause the game and then change camera mode. Clicking on 'Menu' while playing the game currently hides the 'Camera Mode' icon.

### 5/5 — Started well & keeps getting better & better!

*2011-11-05, version 1.8*

At first I would have rated initial app 3.5-4 stars. Now, after all the additional boards, which are free, and much better, IMHO, it deserves 5 stars. There are also cool In App Purchases that add to the game, but aren't needed to progress, so they're really luxury purchases, not needed to further the game. It also seems like they come up with a new table with every update, which is often! Their other pinball games are very good as well, and they continue to come up with more and more original tables. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!

### 5/5 — V1.8 huge improvement! 😊😊😊

*2011-11-05, version 1.8*

The smooth gameplay is finally back in v1.8, which I'm ecstatic about. The previous version (v1.7) essentially ruined this game for me, as the ball would frequently get stuck on the tables, the ball movement was jittery quite often, sometimes the ball would jump off the tables, and periodically the balls would go right thru the flippers (although the ball did go thru one of the flippers on the Cleopatra table in v1.8). But all of the other problems have thankfully disappeared.

Interestingly, the Cleopatra table does not show up in Game Center.

And I'd still like to see the developer get rid of the rubber ball and switch to a metal ball (in all my life, I've never played an actual pinball game that has a rubber ball that bounces). To me, a rubber ball just takes away from the authenticity of the game. But that's just me.

All in all, though, this game now goes back to 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟's for my rating. With the constant addition of new tables and various options, this game is well worth your time! 😃

### 5/5 — Realistic!

*2011-09-21, version 1.4*

I spent much of my misspent youth before video game playing pinball. I have tried a lot of pinball simulations over the years, and this is the first one that I immediately fell into a comfortable playing style that felt very much like I remembered some of my favorite machines of old feeling. Obviously, you can never really replace playing on a good machine, but this is a terrific effort. The only thing I feel is lacking is the fine targeting control around the edges of the range of a flipper. For example, if I want to shoot for something fairly far to the the right and I have caught the ball in the left flipper. When I let the ball roll down nearly to the end of the flipper and flip, the ball doesn't seem to fly as far to the right as I would expect, and hope for. It would also be great to have a table that is like my old favorite, Evel Knievel! Thanks for the great, great app!!
