## What is Agitate?

Agitate turns your phone into an instant camera.

Take a photo, or pick one from your library, and it slides out of the camera as a blank card. Shake your phone to develop it. The harder you shake, the faster the image comes through: yellow first, then magenta, then cyan, the way real instant film does. Stop shaking and it keeps developing for a moment, then waits for you.

• Every print develops differently, with soft edges and patches that clear last
• Haptics you can feel as the image develops
• Can't shake? Hold a button to develop instead
• Half-developed prints are saved, so you can come back and finish them later
• Add a caption, save to Photos or share

No account, no ads, no tracking. Your photos stay on your phone.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-22

Agitate now shoots like a Polaroid 600 camera.

• A new film look: deeper blacks, creamy whites, fine grain and soft corners, and every print comes out a little different
• Flash is on by default, and the background falls away the way it did on instant film
• A light tap tells you when the shot is level and steady, and small tilts are straightened for you
• Share and Save now give you the whole card with your caption written on it, sized to print like a real Polaroid
• Sharing opens instantly, captions are easier to write, and the gallery has a new look
• A finished print now slides smoothly onto its own page

### 1.0 — 2026-10-21
