I live alone I run a fridge a washing machine and dryer watch tv for 3 hours twice a week and use the power supply to charge my phone and iPad. AGL disconnected without warning my electricity for 2 days and when it was reconnected the power blew my fridge up and I couldn’t turn on my safety switch in the power box. I had to pay for a new fridge which stopped me making a payment installment which is definitely not what I needed, AGL didn’t offer to reimburse me, I’m furious I had to pay to replace an appliance over a disconnection I wasn’t warned of through a bill or person coming to my house it was shut off at the office. The lady I spoke to from accounts inversions in 15 minutes could not answer me about the 800 drop in 2 days to the 1100 increase in 2.5 weeks just kept referring back to previous months bills. Now I’m told my plan was changed in July and she wanted to offer me a cheap one yet in October last year I was on the cheapest plan they could offer. I didn’t ask for a plan change and I can’t get any answers regarding the massive bill changes 3 times in 6 weeks … Very very disgusted I receive 800 per fortnight live alone and have nothing in my house bar the simple necessities and pay the same amount in 3 months as my mother who runs a 7 bedroom house.
