Frankly, i do not trust you to do the right thing and will be changing my bank card so you cant do more sneaky charges. ### 3/5 — I booked a room for today a week ago and it got cancelled today *2026-08-21, version 14.30.1* Honestly Agoda is almost impossible to reach, I can’t get a response nor in contact with customer support because the AI just ends the call. I did t even get a refund on the room I booked and never got to use due it being cancelled and overbooked. Ils feront tout pour ne jamais vous rembourser la différence si vous trouvez moins cher que chez eux. J’ai bien suivi les instructions quand j’ai trouvé moins cher et leur ai transmis URL + capture du prix et bien sûr sans me connecter sur le site au cas où. Tout ça dans les minutes qui ont suivi, par mail, depuis ma réservation et depuis le chat whatsapp au cas où. Il me réponde 24h après pour me dire que l’URL ne marche pas et que je puisse leur renvoyer, alors que chez moi ça s’ouvrait bien et on voyait bien le prix. renvoie effectué plusieurs fois jusqu’à ce qu’il n’ait plus de chambre au même critère que leur réservation car entre temps,les réservations ne vont pas attendre, les personnes réservent plus de 24h après . En plus de ça , il se permette de dire qu’il regrette et que j’ai effectué la demande à 23h59 la veille de mon check in alors qu’on est le 20 août et mon séjour est prévu pour le 02 septembre. Vraiment du Pipo En tout cas, ne croyez jamais ce qu’ils disent, ce n’est que mensonge et ils feront tout pour ne jamais honorer ce qu’il promette. I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with them. I booked a hotel through Agoda for a road trip. We were driving to the destination and got slightly delayed. Without any prior intimation or confirmation from us, our booking was given to someone else. When we tried contacting Agoda’s customer support, we received no proper response for almost 12 hours. Even the chatbot was of no real help. The worst part was that we could not find another room anywhere, and because of this, we had to spend the entire night in our car. When we finally managed to speak to Agoda customer support the next day, we were told that they needed to contact the hotel and that a refund could not be processed due to some technical issue. But why should the customer have to prove that they did not get a room? We never checked in, and the booking was not honoured. It is Agoda’s responsibility to coordinate with its hotel partner and resolve the issue—not the customer’s responsibility to chase the hotel after already being left without accommodation. This experience caused us a huge amount of stress and mental harassment. A booking platform should provide support when things go wrong, especially in an emergency situation. Agoda completely failed in that regard. I strongly recommend thinking twice before trusting Agoda with your hotel bookings. I was given instructions that because I was using my debit card, I had to reserve the room in my name. I was then told to call the hotel, Casino del Sol Tucson, directly afterward and change the name to my loved one’s name. Yesterday, when it was time to book, I followed those exact instructions. The hotel staff, including Soliel, Sandra, and Rachel (the Manager), told me they could not change the name or anything else because it was booked through a 3rd party, and the 3rd party was the one who had to make the change. I then called Agoda customer service today, and Stelena told me that I now have to wait 48 hours for a call back from their booking department because they are the ones who have to approve the changes and the charges are not guaranteed. The hotel, Agoda, and other companies should not give customers instructions that are not true or that they cannot honor. This is not right. Why tell customers one thing, take their money, and then tell them something completely different afterward? I was trying to give Agoda my business. All I am asking for is my $70.64 back (due to death sudden took place), which is the difference because I now have to leave a day early (08/29/26–08/30/26) and change the name to my loved one’s name so they can still receive the business and make a profit too. It looks like that is too much to ask. And now I have to wait 48 hours for someone to call me back. This is not right. Customers should be able to trust the instructions they are given. I am very disappointed with this experience, especially during a time when I was simply trying to do something special for my loved one. We were traveling with a young child and urgently needed accommodation. Due to a date glitch on the app, the check-in shifted to the next day. The booking was cancelled within 4 minutes. Despite an instant cancellation over 24 hours before check-in, Agoda charged a 100% penalty ($505 CAD). Customer support offered only scripted excuses and refused to take responsibility. Disputing through my bank. Avoid! ### 1/5 — Customer service is trash. Id rate a 0 if i could! *2026-08-16, version 14.29.0* My flight was significantly delayed, which caused me to arrive at the hotel after midnight. Before midnight, I personally called the hotel and informed the hotel staff that my flight was delayed and that I would be arriving late. The hotel staff acknowledged the situation and informed me that they would note the reservation and communicate the information. Unfortunately, the overnight/night staff was apparently not given this information. When I arrived, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled as a no-show and that the room had already been rebooked to another guest. I did not abandon or intentionally miss my reservation. I made a good-faith effort to notify the hotel BEFORE midnight and relied on the hotel staff to document and communicate the information. My wife and 2 kids were turned away. We ended up at a different hotel. The staff there was nice enough to call around other hotels for availability and once no rooms were available, we were allowed to wait in the hotel lobby couch were my kids were able to take a nap until morning. Agoda customer service was no help! Refused to help me get a refund for the 1st night that we were turned away and we were forced to stay at another hotel lobby couch! ### 1/5 — Delete the app, it’s Horrible *2026-08-15, version 14.29.0* I booked a hotel that had decent ratings on the app. Then I looked at the Google reviews and many of them showed that the hotel had bed bugs and dirty sheets!! I tried to cancel but the customer service is useless. Moral of the story is always book through the hotel website. Agoda were very unhelpful with getting me refunded and I had to get paypal in to sort it 👎 ### 1/5 — Playing with prices to make you believe you have good deals *2026-08-13, version 14.28.0* The application is well designed, works well and is useful. But the more you use it the more they will play with the price. When they say that you have better prices on the application, that is totally false. You should make the test. When they say that you have a 8% discount, they just increase the price of 8% and then give you a discount of 8% !!! I think it was one of the best traveling application but they changed in the past year. You can see a lot of bad reviews lately. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE! App glitches, misleading support & illegal overcharging! *2026-08-12, version 14.28.0* Stay far away from this app! Agoda is an absolute nightmare to deal with and operates like a complete scam when anything goes wrong. 1. App Glitches & Zero Responsibility: The app glitched during checkout and flipped my flight itinerary to the opposite direction. When reported immediately, customer service blamed me, refused to fix their own platform error, and bounced me back and forth between them and the airline. 2. Misleading Support & Deceptive Tactics: Their live support agent explicitly promised in writing that they would pursue the "highest refund possible" to trick me into authorizing a cancellation. They then pocketed 90% of my money as fees! 3. Violating Their Own Contract: Even according to their own printed cancellation policy in the booking confirmation, the cancellation fee was capped at $103 USD. Yet, they refunded me less than $17 USD on a $158 USD ticket—unlawfully overcharging me far beyond their own contractual penalty cap. When confronted, customer service literally asked me to "provide a screen recording of the app glitching"—as if anyone records their phone screen while buying a ticket! Save yourself the stress, money, and headaches. Book directly with airlines or use a trustworthy platform. Agoda is currently under formal investigation by regulatory authorities (like the HK Consumer Council and TIA) and facing credit card chargeback disputes for a reason. When I came to check out it then showed the stay as 23-25 and as a result miscalculated the stay and price causing me to cancel another booking. They don’t book anything but only use third-party and never give you your money back! *2026-08-25, version 14.31.0* I booked a hotel on this website and learned a very expensive and valuable lesson: they are nothing but tricksters and only book through third-parties! They have no actual relationships with hotels, but book through a third-party and collect a commission like any local petty travel agent. They promise that if you jump through all their hoops and cancel that they will give you your money back if the hotel agrees to it, but even if the hotel does agree to it, which in my case they did, you will never get your money back from Agoda. They messed up on two things. I ordered two rooms for four people. Luckily, I caught that because they only gave me one room to share between four people.. I fix that and they also did not make me aware that my round-trip ticket the return trip from my had changed times on the flight. So the day I went to check in at 3:30 in the morning to catch my 5 o’clock flight. The airline told me that my flight had already left and had left at 12:55 AM.. I’ll go to me my woman, my mother-in-law and my father-in-law stranded over 1400 miles away from home with no help and no apologies or compensation for their screwup. Also cost me an extra $1500 for four passengers one-way ticket home. ### 1/5 — Very disappointing experience avoid this platform at all costs *2026-08-24, version 14.30.1* I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform. My experience was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns about the way hotel prices are advertised. I booked a hotel room at a discounted price, and after the booking was confirmed, I was later told that there had been a “system error” and that the advertised rate was inaccurate. I was then asked to pay additional money to keep the room, effectively bringing the price closer to the retail rate. As a customer, I booked based on the price that was advertised and confirmed on the platform. I don’t believe customers should have to pay extra because of an issue with the platform’s pricing or system. The customer service experience was also very disappointing. Instead of providing a clear and fair solution, I felt that the responsibility was being pushed back onto the customer. I personally would not use this platform again. When I reached to the hotel , the front desk informed me that there is no booking/reservation in my name. I showed the confirmation and they said it’s a third party booking which never reached out to us. I searched other hotels all the midnight and non of them had room available. I drove to the hotel 8hrs with family including 8-9 years old kid and suffer this situation. I had to drive back 8-9hrs and cancel my trip. I reached out to the support and they said “we are sorry for inconvenience. The hotel is fully booked 😡” They processed the refund which will take about 30days.
