## What is Agroecology Map?

Agroecology Map is a Citizen Science and Open Data platform dedicated to mapping and connecting initiatives in Agroecology, Permaculture, and Agroforestry Systems around the world. Created and maintained by a network of passionate volunteers, it serves as a digital commons where farmers, researchers, educators, and citizens collaborate to document, visualize, and share real experiences that regenerate soils, protect biodiversity, and strengthen community resilience.

The platform promotes the exchange of practical knowledge among people and organizations working toward sustainable and regenerative agriculture. Each mapped initiative contributes to a global open database showcasing the diversity of agroecological practices — from family farms and community gardens to research centers, networks, and educational programs.
