## What is AH&W?

Dr. Rodarte's medical weight loss patients are provided with a science-based complete comprehensive care plan.  Dr. Rodarte’s personalized medicine patients receive a holistic approach with a comprehensive evaluation. No two people are alike. Patient care is unique for each individual.  Dr. Rodarte's medical aesthetic patients receive care that is focused on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of various conditions.

Medical Weight Loss:  Dr. Rodarte provides patients with a complete comprehensive care plan. Her approach is science-based and entails an in-depth and individualized assessment of why a patient has become overweight or obese. According to the American Medical Association, 2/3 of the American population are either overweight or obese.   Additionally, having a normal BMI, coupled with a high fat percentage may be categorized as obesity.

Personalized Medicine:  Dr. Rodarte’s holistic approach begins with a comprehensive evaluation. No two people are alike. Patient care is unique for each individual. Experience the difference.  By definition personalized medicine is a medical model that separates people into different groups—with medical decisions, practices, interventions and/or products being tailored to the individual patient based on their predicted response or risk of disease. Why is personalized medicine important? Because one size does NOT fit all. Dr. Rodarte identifies the root cause of ailments and deficiencies and provides a more comprehensive and collaborative care plan that is customized or personalized to each patient.

Medical Aesthetics:  Aesthetic medicine is an extensively broad term for specialties that focus on improving cosmetic appearance.
Aesthetic medicine focuses on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins.  At Activated Health and Wellness, we provide medical aesthetics with a focus on three modalities:
