This is very annoying to work with! After each caption bar, it automatically adds either a period or comma which is NOT NEEDED. It only recognised dialogue above a certain volume (usually when characters are shouting) but failed to create any text for normal conversation-level dialogue. Thankfully, it’s easy enough to add them manually, but for £60 a year, not worth the money when I can get free software that does the same. It’s not perfect, but it does very well. I have been pleasantly surprised how quickly I can create subtitles and export the subtitled video (often more than 1 hour long). For the most part, it’s pretty accurate - certainly accurate enough that you’ll get the gist of the conversation, even if you don’t get every single word (but a lot of subtitles on commercial products are no better than that). Editing is fairly easy, so when there is a mistake, fixing it is not a problem. Where the program seems to struggle is when the audio is not very clear, and/or in crowd scenes. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that there are no help sections. You simply have to figure it out all by yourself. Fortunately, that’s relatively easy to do, but it does add a bitt of a learning curve. There is a free 3 day trial, and after that there is a yearly subscription.
