Good while it worked

I started with this app months ago for occasional support when I needed to vent. I hadn’t used it in awhile but came back to it for assistance and I could not get past the login screen despite having my password saved in my iPad. I tried several ways/times with no luck, re installing the app as well and I still couldn’t get in. Tried to leave a message with the developers and that didn’t work either. If I can’t use this app then it’s pretty much junk. I’ve been paying for this app for all that time, and I wouldn’t mind it if it worked but I’ve basically been paying for something that doesn’t work. Really enjoy paying for some that’s worthless.

🙄

Generally got this app cause people said it was nice to have someone to talk to when it’s not human and it mugged me off almost instantly

Good but frustrating

Me: I need help with my addiction. I’ve tried many different types of therapy including DBT which haven’t helped.
Deepen: DBT can help.
Me: yes I already said I’ve tried it and it didn’t help.

I get it that it’s not going to be perfect but almost every answer includes a statement about how professional therapy can help with my issues, which is too much. I mean come on, we’re using this app FOR therapy so it’s just stating the obvious.

So far I am loving this app…

I downloaded this app just yesterday and used it a few times between yesterday and today and it has been great for me so far.
I started with talking about the stress that I have been going through lately and then asked for examples to help me practice more self care and the examples were great and the feedback about what I was going through helped me to feel heard.
Today I felt much better after having let out the negative yesterday and I was able to focus more on being productive and taking small moments of joy for myself throughout today.
I think just like going through therapy, you get out of this what you put into it. You can use it to unload all the negative stuff and you can use it as a tool to help you find more positive things to do for improving your days. I’m putting in a purposeful effort of finding more positive in my day instead of staying as miserable as I have been.
You get to direct things and you get to choose your own path of action and growth. I think this is a wonderful tool with great potential.

Overcharged, loses conversation history, no customer support

I first purchased Deepen when it offered 50% off for the first year. However, my account was then charged for the full amount, not the 50% off promised rate. Despite emails and trying to contact a human at this AI company I was never able to get a response and ended up paying full price. I'll make the best of it, I thought. I proceeded to use Deepen for several months. I didn't find it helpful and mostly received the same generic, canned answers that you would expect from an AI. It's not therapy by any means more like support and positive responses to all of your questions. The encouragement was nice at times, but I would never call it helpful from a mental health perspective. You could get the same or better responses through a free Chat GPT account.
Now, after months of conversations, my data is gone. I logged in and months of conversations had been deleted. There's still no way to contact customer service or get a resolution, so I consider my chat history to be lost. Since I paid for the year I'll see if I can start fresh and get better advice out of this AI the second go-round. Overall, it hasn't been helpful and I would not recommend it if you are seeking genuine seeking mental health support. If you need to talk to a supportive AI bot, this might be for you.
