The developers have really worked hard to address all of the problems I was experiencing in the past. AI Impressionist Painter is quickly becoming one of my very favorite apps for adding color, style and textures. In addition to providing more satisfying artistic results quickly, the team is regularly releasing new styles, too. There is A HUGE variety of painterly, printmaking, and drawing effects -- always something NEW here to experiment with and the results are fantastic. I couldn't be happier with my monthly subscription. Very fun and rewarding user experience! FIVE STARS This app has good potential but right now 95% of the output is REALLY BAD. And, in addition to the subscription fees you are constantly nagged to buy more time. I find this very annoying and pointless because even if you theoretically bought enough credits to work 24-hours a day, the end result will always be lacking. The awesome pictures you will be able to render using AI Impressionist will turn out in amazing results. Not only will you enjoy the finished product, you’ll want to keep on creating more. You’ll dive into the variety and interesting results of AI Impressionist and learn new ways to apply your creativity. It’s fun to use and at the same time you will be getting introduced to a wonderful, new Artwork Process. I highly recommend this App. Before I found the Apps made by this Company, I had many others. The three day free hangs and tells you you exceeded number of tries. They string you to make the 39.99 fee. I called Apple for a refund and waiting now. Each app has almost the very same, the VERY SAME filters. What a sucker I am. Frustrating: sometimes the sliders work, sometimes they don’t. Now and then i get something unique; otherwise 9 out of 10 filters look the very same. Highest res almost never loads. Too expensive for what you get. Go elsewhere. ### 3/5 — Promising, but time-consuming *2024-11-27, version 2.2.11* I’m on the three-day all-access trial. Only been using it for a few days. Pros: Over a thousand styles Customisable (in theory) Probably very useful if you know a lot about fine art, and have a lot of time to learn complex software. Cons: If you don’t know the names of painters, it can be very time-consuming. The image previews are not very helpful. It would be much easier if the base image was the same to quickly see the effect. The AI might be useful but it keeps crashing. Customisation doesn’t always respond. The refinement tool doesn’t work well - the image preview is very small and the refined area ends up being a different colour, so it’s unusable. I am against AI in the sense that it should never take the place of composing and taking your own photos, but using AI Impressionist Painter to make beautiful, artistic compositions is a means to make your own work a piece of art! This does a superb job. My favorites to work with are Monet and Van Gogh. ### 5/5 — AI Generating helping Creativity *2026-06-12, version 2.2.26* This one is worth subscription as long as you use it for purpose. The generator is good with creative artwork photos to improve scope of where to take that base content. This app give the artist a snapshot of different outcomes and has a useful tool to provide extra enhancement features for exploration of compositional arrangement. You can collect a bunch of edits and re-edit these to extend the AI feature, it will rearrange an edit to become a new version and not a copy. Technically this AI generator doesn't have a tool to reverse the last change but that's okay as the AI makes changes to just the arrangement of content. There is a huge scope for adjusting artwork style but as an artist I stick to using this app for extending the visual range of what is possible without relying on the measurements of designing something which looks beautiful, that is for those who seek something else altogether. ### 5/5 — More than filters *2026-05-12* This a must use app for painter’s ### 5/5 — Appli très créative. *2026-04-02* On applique des filtres « dans le style de ... » via IA avec de nombreuses options très créatives.
