## What is AI Japanese?

Conversation runs on-device with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later).

This is conversation practice at N5 level. It does not contain JLPT exam questions.

Nyao the cat walks you through everyday Japanese scenes - ordering coffee, a convenience store, asking for directions, and more - one short line at a time.

- Read every line two ways
Beginners see kana with romaji underneath. Once you're ready, switch to kanji with full-line furigana. Nothing is forced on you either way.

- Script conversation is free, with no limit
Pick a scene, tap a reply, hear it back. This part never runs out and never needs a subscription.

- On-device AI roleplay (compatible devices only)
On devices with Apple Intelligence, Nyao can improvise short replies in Japanese, each with an English translation right underneath, plus three tap-to-reply suggestions. On devices without it, you still get the full script conversation and kana/romaji practice - nothing is hidden, this part simply isn't available there.

- Free and fair
On-device AI roleplay is unlimited for your first seven days after install - no sign-up needed. After that, 5 on-device AI turns a day stay free; a monthly or yearly subscription keeps it unlimited. Script conversation and kana/romaji practice are free and unlimited either way, and none of your records are deleted.

What you type and Nyao's on-device replies never leave your device. No ads, no account required.
