The app never provides a photo

I have been trying this to absolutely no avail. Pick 20 photos, okay….it shows that it’s working on it, and I set my phone down for an hour. Still working on it. I deleted and reinstalled. Picking the 20 photos of my cat, again it works for over an hour. Waste of time.
