I had a few questions and a little issue with my settings and Nikita the app developer stayed with me until my problem as solved which was really effective and professional. I’m recommending this app to all my friends because it is really great, efficient and the best part, it is very cheap compared to others that don’t deliver the same quality. People do not want to talk to an AI and the service abruptly changed voices and personalities without my consent. Furthermore, their number is itself listed as a scam caller most peoples caller IDs, so that function was disappointing. Attempt to resolve it with SUPPORT was met with the reality that it’s a two person company who is somehow supposed to be managing multiple peoples private phone calls, and data , my attempts to resolve issues were unsuccessful. ### 1/5 — Reputational Risk! *2026-04-23* This app at first seems great. But after extensive testing. It not only has settings that auto text compete nonsense to your clients. But It acts like it hasn’t been set up randomly. While they train their service on your data. You pay to have them pretend to to make things easier. AVOID. **Developer response:** Hi Sorr74 — sorry the experience missed the mark, and thank you for the detailed feedback. A few clarifications: 1. We do NOT train any AI on your data. Your calls, transcripts, and contacts are yours — never used to train ours or any third-party models. 2. The receptionist only follows the instructions and business profile YOU configure. If responses feel off-script, it's almost always a setup issue we can fix together in 10 minutes. 3. Auto-SMS behavior is fully optional and configurable per agent — turn it off or rewrite it anytime in the app. If you're not satisfied, we'll issue a full refund — email team@skipcalls.com. We'd also love to do a free setup session with our team to get this dialed in. I was stuck on a screen and couldn’t end a call. Had to delete the app to stop the nonsense. I tried going without it and instantly came back. Skip Calls just works, quietly, reliably, no drama. I’ve tried just about everything else in this space. I really tested the options, and Skip Calls is the clear winner for me. It screens everything: recruiter calls, comp conversations, spam, collectors, and handles it so I don’t have to. It feels like the first tool that actually makes phone calls calm instead of stressful. Customer support is outstanding, fast, thoughtful, personal. If you need something, you might even hear directly from the creator. I think the initial setup could go a little smoother-definitely do it on your desktop versus the phone app. There were some weird hiccups in terms of Kahle handling, but engaging with the Chatbot on the phone app actually cleared those up pretty easily. Definitely take some time to figure out. What you want your receptionist to say or not say. The self training it does on your product is seriously hit or miss. I think the smarter way to do that would be to build out the product knowledge in ChatGPT just the way you want it and then transfer it over to SkipCall. I will say: since I turned this app on, I haven’t received a single spam call from an overseas call center. ### 5/5 — Changed my business *2026-05-26* Skipcalls has changed my entire business around. I used to catch maybe 20% of my leads in the past as a part time real estate agent. But with Skipcalls, I don’t miss a beat! The AI receptionist is excellent! She remembers everything, keeps a great call log and provides me a daily wrap up of who was contacted, who wasn’t, all the follow ups and creates a To-Do list. There was some bugs to work out training the AI receptionist but now she’s nearly perfect. I’d rather stick a fork in my eyeball then make a client wait while I answer the phone and go back and forth with a client, and most calls are spam, so I stopped answering my salon phone. This has done what it advertised, books people for me! Integrates with Google Calendar. She busts the spam calls too. I’ve not had her call for me yet, but I will have her confirm elderly clients appointments that don’t text. Well worth its low price.
