## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.4 — 2026-09-10

• The app is about half the size: roughly 90 MB to download instead of 175 MB, and around 220 MB less space on your device once installed. Nothing was removed to get there — every feature, setting and screen is exactly where it was.
• Animated stickers and GIFs now play through a decoder built into the app instead of a large third-party media framework. They look exactly the same, use far less memory in a long sticker grid, and stop decoding as soon as they scroll off screen.
• Importing a skill from the marketplace works again. The marketplace changed the address of its skill pages, which left the Import Skill button hidden on every skill; it is back, and an imported skill now arrives with its full description instead of a shortened one.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.

### 3.3 — 2026-09-05

• Ask the assistant about several chats at once and it now works through all of them. Whatever it produces for one chat — a summary, suggested replies, cards — it produces for the others too, each labelled with the chat it belongs to, instead of answering the first and mentioning the rest in passing. Longer requests no longer stop early saying they could not be completed.
• Anything the assistant drafts for you now arrives as a card you can act on instead of text you would have to retype: each suggested reply, event, reminder or contact gets its own card.
• A drafted reply is never sent for you. Tapping one now opens that conversation with the text already in the message field, ready to edit and send — in the assistant chat it used to go straight out on a single tap.
• Assistant replies now appear at a steady, readable pace instead of in bursts, and a long answer no longer freezes part-way through. Tables and code blocks build as they are written, with their copy button.
• Reactions are reliable again: removing your own reaction works, changing a WhatsApp reaction no longer leaves the old emoji behind, and a reaction in one Telegram chat can no longer overwrite another chat's. Reactions saved by earlier versions are repaired the first time you open the app.
• Profile photos now appear where they used to be blank — when choosing people for a new group or a new message, and for members of a WhatsApp group.
• The app is smoother: loading profile photos, opening the assistant and refreshing the unread badge no longer hold up the interface.
• Limited access to your contacts is now fully supported. If you have shared only selected contacts with the app, birthday and photo sync, home and work addresses, the contact sync switch in Settings, and contact lookups in Shortcuts and Siri all work instead of coming back empty.
• A contact you share into a WhatsApp chat now saves with a number that can actually be dialled in Mexico and Argentina.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.

### 3.2 — 2026-09-03

• AI Reply now has two assistants. "Reply Assistant" looks things up and drafts your reply; "Task Assistant" adds your calendar, reminders, contacts and nearby places.
• Drafts arrive as cards you can send with a tap.
• Button messages can carry a header and a footer, and the header can be an image, video or document.
• Quick replies now show the media attached to a button message header.
• New in Shortcuts and Siri: "Get Media from Quick Reply" hands every file attached to a quick reply to the rest of your shortcut.
• Tap a quick reply in the Home Screen widget and it sends straight away.
• Profile photo and birthday sync now matches on the full number, country code included, so the right details reach the right contact.
• A shared Instagram story now opens straight into Instagram.
• Notifications keep arriving reliably.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.

### 3.1 — 2026-08-27

• WhatsApp music — a song shared in a chat now plays as audio, with its title, artist and artwork.
• Choose who can add members when you create a WhatsApp group: everyone, or admins only.
• Instagram and Messenger reels, posts and stories now show their thumbnail instead of an empty card.
• A shared post that was deleted, or that its owner keeps private, now says so instead of leaving a blank bubble.
• Instagram notices no longer print a raw web address mid-sentence — the link is a button.
• Fewer empty "deleted message" bubbles in WhatsApp chats.
• Telegram messages, live location and link previews now update everywhere in the app at once.
• Voice messages transcribe more reliably, and now recognise the names of the people in that chat.
• Opening a conversation from Siri, Spotlight or a notification lands on the right chat with the right title.
• Sync Profile Photos is now its own action in Contacts — put your contacts' WhatsApp and Telegram photos into your address book when you want to, and merge birthdays without touching photos.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.

### 3.0 — 2026-08-21

• AI Credits — use the Claude assistant without an API key of your own. Top up in the app; credit never expires.
• Share into a chat from any app — AI Reply Assistant is now in the iOS share sheet.
• Make it your default messaging app: Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Messaging. Tap a phone number anywhere in iOS and the conversation opens here.
• Genmoji — make your own emoji and send it as a sticker.
• Sensitive photos and video stay blurred until you tap, when Sensitive Content Warning is on in iOS Settings. Checked on device; nothing is uploaded.
• A Focus filter for messages, and time-sensitive alerts now arrive as time-sensitive.
• Outgoing messages are donated to Siri, so your people and chats turn up in Siri suggestions and the share sheet.
• Messenger end-to-end encrypted chats now show their content and attachments properly.
• Video sends keep going after you leave the app.
• Knowledge Base fixes — deleted links no longer turn up in answers, refreshed pages are saved and re-indexed, failed links are clearly marked, and your documents stay available in long chats.
• Media fixes across Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram — captions and @mentions, group and channel photos, locations with a map and address, and contact cards.
• Bug fixes and performance improvements.
