## What is AI Session Meter?

Know before you hit the limit.

AI Session Meter puts your live Claude session and weekly limits on iPhone and iPad. Sign in directly on the device — no Mac required — to see how much you have used, when each limit resets, and where your current pace is heading.

Made for iPhone and iPad
• Live session and weekly usage for each Claude account
• Daily and Weekly charts with recent history at up to 10-minute detail
• 12-hour, 24-hour, 3-day, 7-day, and 14-day ranges with reset markers
• Forecast bands that project usage to the next reset with an expected range
• Hover or tap a reset marker to see which account resets — 5-hour session or weekly
• Pace forecasts that show whether you are Safe, Tight, or Likely to hit the limit
• Home Screen widgets for Daily and Weekly usage
• Multiple accounts, custom names, and flexible sorting
• Apple Watch support with a watch-face complication

Useful forecasts, not just percentages
AI Session Meter measures your recent pace instead of assuming that every session behaves the same. Flat usage stays at the current percentage; increasing usage shows where you may land by reset — and a projection never drops below what you have already used. When the evidence is still changing, the app says so instead of claiming false precision.

Add the Mac app when you want more
• Keep Claude session and weekly limits visible in the menu bar
• Connect in a couple of clicks with the guided first-run setup
• See Claude Code and Codex activity by model, including token totals and heatmaps
• Review longer Stats history from 12 hours to all time
• Merge old account identities when the same account appears under a previous name
• Sync recorded history, forecasts, and widgets to iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud

How data is handled
• AI Session Meter never calls an AI model and never consumes your usage quota
• Claude usage is read from Anthropic's official usage service after you sign in; your credential stays on your devices and is sent only to Anthropic
• Codex stats are read only from local Codex CLI files on your Mac; OpenAI provides no public usage API
• Apple Watch displays history recorded by your devices and never connects to an AI service

Private by design
• Fully sandboxed
• No analytics, tracking, or ads
• Codex files are read only from folders you explicitly allow
• Device sync uses only your own iCloud account

Try every feature free for 14 days. After the trial, one purchase unlocks everything on your devices — no subscription. Customers who previously bought the paid app keep full access automatically.

AI Session Meter is an independent utility and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic or OpenAI. Claude Code is a product of Anthropic; Codex is a product of OpenAI.

### 5/5 — Helps me plan my coding sessions

*2026-07-10*

AI Session Meter estimates when my session may run out based on my current coding pace, which makes it much easier to plan my work. I use both Claude Team and Personal accounts, plus multiple accounts, so having all usage in one place is very convenient. The usage graphs are also helpful because I can see usage by model.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.4.0 — 2026-09-01

• Added cadence-correct Gemini quotas to Daily, Weekly, Stats, widgets, Apple Watch, and reset notifications
• Added direct Codex usage for multiple ChatGPT accounts on iPhone
• Added Codex General weekly usage to Daily alongside model session limits
• Reset markers now use the matching Claude, Codex, Gemini, or account color
• Improved Mac-to-iPhone sync, account names and merging, and charging keep-awake behavior

### 2.3.5 — 2026-08-20

Reliable sync from your Mac across different networks, backed by CloudKit with stale-data protection. Also fixes Keep Screen Awake While Charging, shortens safe direct-fetch retries, and adds clearer sync diagnostics.

### 2.3.4 — 2026-08-08

This update makes the history charts' forecasts easier to read and identify.

• Forecast bands now always appear: when a reset falls beyond the visible range, the band is drawn up to the chart's edge instead of being hidden
• Forecast and reset labels now name the account they belong to (for example "Personal · ~61% · Tue 02:20")
• Labels near the chart's right edge no longer get cut off

### 2.3.3 — 2026-08-01

• Codex credits now show the exact credit count (for example "Credits: 246.46 left") instead of an approximate dollar estimate
• Minor display refinements

### 2.3.1 — 2026-07-29

This update improves forecast accuracy and chart readability, and adds Codex credits visibility.

• Codex: your prepaid credits balance now appears alongside the weekly limit, so a used-up weekly quota with credits remaining no longer looks like a hard stop
• Codex: fixed a case where usage could briefly show day-old "Last known" data right before a weekly reset
• Forecasts are now floored at your current usage — a projection never drops below what you have already used
• Chart projection labels no longer overlap: each series shows one combined "~N% · time" label, stacked neatly when close together
• Weekly cards no longer repeat the same reset time on every model row
• Faster rendering of the trial recap card
