### 5/5 — Great French Transcription App – Expand Custom Dictionary Limit,  Please Add French Store + Fixes

It’s really solid overall. Tested in French—couple minor errors on tricky medical terms like “toracobrachial” (should be thoracobrachial) and “cuté-prolongé” (should be QT prolongé) from the screenshot, but “hypothyroïdie” spot-on. Can’t read full transcription easily (copy-only), font tiny (Control Center zoom inconsistent), UI cramped. Custom dict helps but 120-char limit too short; regen/recording quirk fixed it once—bizarre!

Hit summary, it reformulated nicely. Dev, please make it available on French App Store, expand dict chars, bigger font/read view! 3 mins short but useful.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your positive feedback, especially given the challenging medical terminology and the minimal steps required.

The main feature of this app is summarization rather than transcription, which is why we intentionally kept the transcription UI simpler. That said, since some users do rely on the transcription itself, we’ll improve the font size and display width in the next version.

Unfortunately, the dictionary character limit is constrained by the transcription LLM framework we use, so we can’t expand it at this stage. One workaround: we introduced “summarization rules” in the latest version. for example, by adding medical terms there, they should appear correctly in your summaries.

# What's New in 2.4.4

Flip through your days.

Swipe left or right on the Day screen to move between days. The page follows your finger — yesterday, the day before, smooth as turning pages in a journal.
You can still tap the week bar to jump, but swiping just feels better.

Notion sync got a bit smarter too. Recovery from flaky connections is smoother now. And there's a sync indicator on the Home screen, so you can actually see it working.

We’ve added GeistPixel-Circle — a pixel font with round dots.
It really pops on the small Watch screen. With so few pixels, every one matters, and it fits the overall feel of the app.

If you’ve been recording for more than 5 days, thank you — truly. We might ask you for an in-app review.
You may see a popup once. If you’re not in the mood, just close it.

That's it. Well, that's everything.

During your morning run, walking the dog, cooking dinner - pulling out your iPhone from your pocket gets old. Just tap your Apple Watch. Recording starts. Waveforms dance. When you're done, it shows up on your iPhone. Already transcribed.

You know how thoughts escape while you're searching for your iPhone? We put recording on your wrist. The distance between thinking and recording? Zero.

Background sync works now too. iPhone app sleeping? Recordings still arrive. Your Watch asks "Is iPhone around?" so you won't panic about offline recordings.

About notifications.
Let's be honest - they were broken. Same message every day. "Congrats on 3 days!" on day 10. That's... that's not great. Sorry about that.
Fixed. Notifications now look at your actual streak, check today's recording status, and send what makes sense.

Technically we switched to individual 7-day schedules instead of... you know what, technical details don't matter. It works properly now.

Streak Display
"I recorded again today." You couldn't really see that before. Now there's a streak counter on the home screen. Streak on the left. Days remaining on the right. Symmetrical layout. Every time you open the app, you see "I'm still going." That alone feels good.

Re-engagement Notifications
You download an app and the first three days are fun. Then suddenly it's been a week, two weeks, a month. The icon just sits quietly in the corner of your home screen. So we decided to gently reach out. When you haven't opened the app for a while, you'll occasionally get a notification. "You can still save today's memories." Not too pushy. After 1 day, 3 days, 7 days... spaced out over time. Daily users won't get them. Only those who need it, when they need it.

More Specific Emojis
Let me be honest. The emojis before—stars and sparkles. Every day looked the same. Not anymore. Ate ramen? Ramen emoji. Took the train? Train emoji. Watched a movie? Movie emoji. Your day's highlight actually becomes the emoji. When you look back at the calendar, you'll think "Oh right, that was the ramen day."

Settings Screen Improvements
The experimental feature toggle was getting cut off. The text was small and cramped. Sorry about that. Made it more readable.
