### Faster Japanese typing with improved flick input

Kana flick typing now feels much closer to Apple’s keyboard. Characters appear as soon as you touch a key and update instantly as you move your finger, so you can type without waiting for each tap to finish.

We also improved flick accuracy, added clearer key previews, and fixed an issue where upward or rightward flicks could enter the wrong character.

### See AI suggestions sooner

AI rewrite suggestions now appear one at a time as soon as they are ready. You can start reading the first result instead of waiting for all three.

We also fixed an issue on iOS 26 where tapping a suggestion sometimes did not select it.

### A more familiar iPad keyboard

The iPad romaji layout has been redesigned to more closely match Apple’s Japanese keyboard, including key sizes, row alignment, spacing, and system-style labels.

### Create an AI button for how you actually write

During setup, choose what you want help with and answer a few simple questions. 敬語ボタン will create a personalized AI button for situations such as work messages, emails, polite Japanese, translation, or casual conversation.

You can test it immediately before finishing setup.
