### 3/5 — On the fence

*2026-07-18, version 1.2.0*

I really want to like this app. The UX is better than it was when I first joined AIA Vitality years ago. But the recent updates have made the app slow to use and now I can’t even link Apple Health to my account anymore, which I only just discovered, so I’ve lost weeks of points. Very frustrating.

### 2/5 — Apple data not syncing after recent update.

*2026-07-07, version 1.2.0*

Can’t seem to link my apple health anymore.

### 2/5 — This deserves a better app

*2026-07-05, version 1.2.0*

The app constantly has problems. When one issue is fixed, something else is broken. The new design was introduced to improve the experience but so far my experience was miserable. It gets to the point where I cannot be bothered contacting support because it will take them a week for just an initial response. Otherwise, AIA vitality program is amazing, but it deserves a better app to represent it.

### 2/5 — Points not logged

*2026-07-03, version 1.2.0*

For the last few weeks the app hasn’t been logging the accumulated points for steps or exercise. It only recorded for Monday and Tuesday but the rest of the days of the week are missing. Updating or refreshing does not work.

### 1/5 — Always missing points

*2026-06-02, version 1.1.22*

For an app that tracks stress, it certainly causes enough stress. For months I’ve had to send screen shots of steps through to “missing points” and I’ve now just given up. Not worth the effort any more.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-05-25, version 1.1.22*

Horrendous app and program
Used to work well 3-4 years ago but now it’s awful.
You can’t hit your limits so you miss all the rewards - what’s the point?
You call the help line and they give attitude and bad advice.
You do 1 hour weights session and it doesn’t reward you for exercise (the point of the program).
Half the time the steps don’t show up properly.
Food logging doesn’t work.
Doesn’t integrate with Apple, Fitbit etc properly
Stay away from- I missed my Platinum last year as it didn’t record any of my work outs as ‘exercise).
This year looks to be doing the same thing despite being told by the help centre that it was all fixed…. Don’t bother!!

### 1/5 — Workouts dont sync properly

*2026-05-17, version 1.1.22*

Workout don’t seem properly. The app always runs into issues every 3-4 months with syncing workouts.

### 2/5 — App slow

*2026-04-27, version 1.1.21*

App is super slow to open, super slow to sync with health data and credit points.

### 1/5 — Slow app and sync not working

*2026-04-25, version 1.1.21*

I don’t know if it’s the recent app update, I noticed recently that after launching the app, it takes ages for the content to load and shortly after loading the content, a warning message often pop up to say “whoops, there’s an issue connecting, try again in a few moments” which is really confusing for me as the user. Also from about 1 month ago, my sleep data stopped syncing to the AIA app which I’m still trying to resolve with AIA. Today, I noticed that my gym visit this week started not syncing too, along with other metrics like meditation, the only activity that’s still syncing seems to be the steps. I’ve been with AIA for years and always love the benefit and how easy it is to use. The app still has 4.7 rating, mostly from long time ago, plz fix the bugs so ppl can continue to love this app and the service.

### 1/5 — Clunky App, feels deliberately hard to get vouchers + rewards

*2026-04-20, version 1.1.21*

Starting from “pin can’t start with 0”, to having no notifications about expiring vouchers or rewards, this app is clunky and I’m truly shocked at its high rating. It has been bad for years and I will soon cancel my AIA membership as it really isn’t worth it.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2026-02-28, version 1.1.20*

App too buggy, always have to manually log in to sync activity data. Also very sneaky way to collect personal info by having all your health practitioners sign off on checkups

### 1/5 — Tom

*2026-02-27, version 1.1.20*

Opens with empty screen, non functional

### 2/5 — Latest update killed Face ID

*2026-01-30, version 1.1.20*

Previously loved this app but a recent update removed the previously usable Face ID recognition. Have to now enter pin every time despite switching Face ID on and off several times to attempt to fix it. App suffering from bloat with too many features and options

### 2/5 — Slow, glitchy and unresponsive

*2026-01-21*

This most recent redesign is terribly difficult to work with, see points earned in a timely manner and to depend on. It is so slow to update that it is bordering on unusable. Unfortunately we depend on it for a policy discount.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cooked

*2026-07-22, version 1.2.0*

The app has never been great and always clunky. Although since the last update I was unable to login for more than 3 weeks. Meaning I couldn’t accumulate the points to meet my watch benefit. Not holding my breath for support to fix

### 1/5 — Horrible App and very poor support

*2026-07-21, version 1.2.0*

The app magically will not work after a few months and then your point would not be added to your account after you complain the developer saying that you need to monitor regularly which is kind of annoying because people shouldn’t be responsible for their faulty app

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-07-17, version 1.2.0*

Since the update the app constantly drops out after a few minutes. Difficult to try and earn points now to maintain status.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-07-16, version 1.2.0*

Trying to log in. Send a verification code to email. Enter that, the it want to send verification code via SMS, then freezes

### 1/5 — Technical Problems

*2026-07-05, version 1.2.0*

There is always something not working on this app. You spend most of your time refreshing to try and get it working. Also outdated systems of printing a piece of paper and taking it to your healthcare provider for signing to get points, please!!

### 1/5 — Apple Watch connection is gone after update

*2026-07-05, version 1.2.0*

It does not have the option to connect to Apple Watch anymore

### 1/5 — After update no data syncs

*2026-07-03, version 1.2.0*

Over the last year I have been using the AIA vitality program for the Apple Watch. I had no issues with the data syncing up until June. Since then I had one day that didn’t sync and had to contact support because I didn’t get my weeks goals despite having all the data to prove I did. The. They released an app update and now no apple health data is syncing into the app for me - last successful sync was 28th June. This is extremely disappointing as the update should have made it better but instead made everything worse.

### 1/5 — Persistent Technical Issues

*2026-07-02, version 1.2.0*

The app has persistent technical issues recognising sleep data. This didn’t seem to happen prior to June 2025 but since then it basically never recognises unless you email support for help which means they must be doing a manual override.

### 1/5 — Failed 2FA

*2026-07-01, version 1.2.0*

They changed my mobile number and now I can’t log in via the new security system. When I called the contact centre she was also unable to change the link as the system is so new. Epic fail with your new security system upgrade.

### 1/5 — Broken 2fA

*2026-07-01, version 1.2.0*

The Programmer that had introduced the 2FA is an apprentice with no common sense.

He is asking 2fA via email and another via SMS

The best practices just need one.

The more secure financial applications just sent one.

Please fire the security team and get a competent team.

### 5/5 — Great Incentive

*2025-12-09, version 1.1.19*

Had AIA health insurance for 7 years and only just activated my AIA Vitality account - wish I had done it sooner! Great app with great incentives to start your health and fitness journey or
to maintain and improve it!

### 5/5 — Why have you removed the Woolworths voucher barcode?

*2025-10-19, version 1.1.13*

Why have you removed the Woolworths voucher barcode from Woolworths vouchers?
This was a great feature. Nothing having it means it is much more difficult to redeem a voucher. Otherwise the app is definitely getting better with every update.
