### 2/5 — Sync problems

*2025-11-02, version 1.5.0*

I have my Apple health linked to the app and even though all the data are complete in Apple health, it doesn’t sync in the app! And so I cannot receive the weekly rewards. It’s so frustrating to see, for example, 13,000 steps already recorded in Apple health but it doesn’t reflect in the app. My workouts for 3 days are not synced yet.

To the developers, you may want to include Amazfit as a device option to link to the app. Thank you.

### 3/5 — Issue of synch apps & smartwatches. Only focuses on the legs workout. Not very effective on strength

*2025-02-13, version 1.3.7*

Underweight people like me mostly need to focus on strength goals but there is an issue. The points are always focused on leg exercises like running and walking which are cardio, getting fit, energy, and weight loss, but not strength focus. The three categories of workouts are strength, weight loss, and fitness. If you focus on strength or you are doing strength such as push-ups, weight lifting, and others, this app is not effective in getting points. Be careful of buying a smartwatch because this does not synch the most smartwatches and is not available (Oppo Band and Heytap are not available to synch because Heytap and this app don't run well). Apps like Nike, Adidas Run (Running), Seven, Sworkit, and others are not synch/available and are not compatible. You have to use Strava.

Update: AIA still does not recognize Heytap, Seven, Nike Training App, and Adidas Running.

### 2/5 — Error in syncing

*2024-12-08, version 1.3.6*

Encountering issue in syncing steps & points crediting to AIA Vitality app. Fitbit to Vitality app - I reached the required steps (minimum of 14k per day) but upon syncing, either 50 points or 0 points received. Also, different number of steps count reflected and not the actual count. This is the 2nd week that I encountered problem in syncing. After the Nov 28, vitality app update. I already emailed the support team on dec 2, but still with the same issue.

### 3/5 — Current app getting better

*2024-04-15, version 1.3.5*

Current app is getting better with the enhancements but new feature on face scan is unreliable. I’m just using it to gain points but it’s so unreliable in scanning results. I don’t think it’s able to properly read heart rate, stress and BMI correctly just through face scan. Just my opinion but they should stick with the wearable data instead. It’s more reliable than just scanning the face. Bit of shaking when you’re holding the phone up for better angle/ lighting might also affect the reading.

### 3/5 — App becomes buggy when Updates are deployed

*2023-12-17, version 1.3.3*

Good perks and stuff but the app is pretty buggy when there are new updates deployed! Which is extremely frustrating because there is no concrete indication of what the freaking error is. What of time and stressful when you are trying to beat your weekly targets to sync!

### 3/5 — Fix the back button

*2023-10-16, version 1.3.2*

Please fix the back button. Whenever I open a page and try to go back, I can’t select the back button. No matter how many times I tap or from whatever corner or side of the icon, it doesn’t go back to the previous page. ☹️

Device: iPhone 15 Pro
OS: iOS 17.0.3

### 2/5 — Syncing does not work properly

*2023-07-29, version 1.3.0*

1. Could not properly load my data from Apple Health despite countless restarts of the AIA App.
2. Syncing data from Garmin app does not work properly at all. I am being asked to login to Garmin dashboard every time. After logging in, I am still being asked to log in still.
3. Useless tracking at all

### 4/5 — Shorten App Name

*2022-11-14, version 1.1.7*

I think, you can shorten the app name from AIA VitalityPhilippines to AIA VitalityPH, because the app name is too long, Apple automatically shortens the name registration on device as AIA VitalityPhilip… but other than that, the overall design update and functionality is looking good.

### 3/5 — Syncing problem still exists

*2021-08-22, version 1.0.8*

I also encountered difficulties transferring to this new app from the old one- it's not accepting the app given password. Hard enough to need to call the customer service and ask for help, and that was a long call.

My new issue now is not syncing rewards points from July Nutrition Month Promo using the food tracker. It says 5 points will be given for every food tracking upload regardless of Food Scores and a bonus 5 points more for every uploads with 4-5 Food Scores. I already emailed AskPhilamVitality 3x about this and still not yet resolved up to now (22 August).

### 4/5 — Helpful but not syncing

*2021-08-03, version 1.0.6*

The rewards and point system is great and keeps me motivated but it’s not syncing properly with Apple Health and does not remember my credentials even when I checked the necessary box. I sincerely hope they include Mi Fit app as one of the workout trackers in the next update.

### 3/5 — Heart Rate not Syncing

*2021-07-22, version 1.0.6*

I’m using a Huawei Band 6 watch linked to Huawei Health app which is then connected to Apple Health. My health data from the watch is reflected to Apple Health app but I was having issues with syncing the data from Apple Health to Philam app. The step counter syncs but the heart rate was blank/not syncing at all.

It would also help if there is an option for automatic syncing (like every hour or 30 mins, etc.) instead of clicking the refresh option manually.

Sometimes, I also suddenly get logged out and my credentials are not remembered.

### 2/5 — Becoming more and more unworthy

*2021-07-10, version 1.0.6*

It’s becoming more and more unworthy paying the premium. The bugs, the no-pop-up-requisite-assessments that need answered before you start collecting 2-week met goals, the app crashing every after app update then says ‘updates available’, (I just updated!). This list goes on. Hassle and nuisance.

### 2/5 — Limited Fitness tracker devices recognized

*2021-06-29, version 1.0.4*

I have a mi band fitness device that is not among the recognized devices for the Philam Vitality, as a work-around, i linked it to my Apple Health, however the Philam Vitality App doesnt read all data on the Apple Health therefore its not recorded in Vitality.

If the objective is to inspire and encourage people to exercise, there should be more fitness devices recognized. Other Vitality Apps (abroad) have MiFit among the list of recognized Apps, i hope this is included soon, otherwise, we are compelled to spend more for devices to avail of the rewards, money better spent on other things that promoye health.

### 2/5 — Date not completely syncing

*2021-06-23, version 1.0.4*

You will worry if you’re activities would sync or not.
Not real time in data sync. Hoping you’ll improve on this one. The old app is better in syncing activities. Sad, some of my points are not reflected because activities are not syncing.

### 4/5 — Still needs improvement

*2021-05-19, version 1.0.3*

It syncs my Garmin data faster than before and I’ve had no issues getting rewards so far

Some issues:
- I get logged out every time even if I click “remember me”
- App design is too cluttered and confusing

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not syncing

*2025-01-23, version 1.3.6*

Vitality doesn't sync the workout properly. So no points received even though I workout at least twice a day. Also tried contacting thru email but they have too many request to process your points (screen recording & screenshots of all activities) which is a waste of time. Please this fix up so we don't have to bother you thru email.

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2023-01-03, version 1.1.7*

I’ve had my insurance with BPI Philam since 2019 but not once was I ever able to access this app. I tried scheduling a call for assistance but the agent who called told me I scheduled a call and offered me an insurance, useless. Told me to find the nearest branch and talk to someone from BPI-Philam. And when I went to the branch and inquired why the wasn’t working, she told me to call for assistance. Useless.

I tried this with my Samsung phone, it wasn’t working. Now I’n using Apple, and same issue.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-12-12, version 1.1.7*

No matter how active you are, this app will not sync your progress so don’t expect the rewards.
Customer service is the worst as well. Never solved any of my problems, when they send a reply it’s considered “solved” so when you reply to the email to explain, you’ll meet a new representative and you have to explain everything again. Eventually your problem will be juggled by 10 people who think they’ve solved your issue. Weeks to months worth of exercises never recognized. Uninstall. Don’t bother rewards you’ll never receive.

### 1/5 — Not Working

*2022-02-27*

After you supply your credit username an password it will hang, experienced in IOS iPhone12

**Developer response:** Hi iMhak, we’re sorry to hear this. You can try doing some self-troubleshooting like clearing your phone’s cache/data, or re-installing the app to get the latest version and re-syncing your device. If this doesn’t work, send us an email at ask@philamvitality.com with your device details.

### 1/5 — Poor Update

*2021-08-11, version 1.0.7*

The previous Vitality app was working perfectly and I think there’s no need to change it. Change it if it is user friendly and can actually benefit the clients. I’ve been able to complete the challenges and steps for 3 consecutive weeks but I haven’t received any voucher. Please do something about this! Improve this app for the benefits of the client and not just for your pockets.

This is not good! I miss the old app where we can get the reward in just one week. Hence, this newly updated app is also not syncing for almost 3days now. Please, improve this app and please return the weekly reward.

### 1/5 — Why launch something which is not yet ready?

*2021-06-27, version 1.0.4*

App keeps crashing. It’s also slow. Look is an improvement, yes, but a lot of hiccups. Refer to first sentence. Also, I only learned about the change in rewards system after I renewed my vitality. Instead of earning Php200 weekly, users now only get to earn it after two consecutive weeks of meeting targets. I definitely called friends to discourage them from renewing their vitality membership.

Also, app keeps on logging out even if you tick the remember my log in option on log in screen.

### 1/5 — It’s worse!

*2021-06-06, version 1.0.4*

Rewards were not given weekly even though the target was hit ahead of time and health assessment were done. App is logging timingly during weekend. And it is obvious that the target was hit with “500 of 500” remarks but why do i have not get the reward . Compared with the first app, as early as Saturday you can get the reward. Disappointing, your service was just good at first!

### 1/5 — No rewards

*2021-05-29, version 1.0.3*

The app doesn’t give me vouchers! I’ve met my goal for six consecutive weeks on the new app, but haven’t received rewards, not even once! The rewards are why I joined Philam in the first place.

It also doesn’t give me points for the non-smoker’s declaration even though I have done it so many times. When I check my point history it says rejected and then the non-smoker’s assessment back to the “recommended” tab.

### 1/5 — It changed for the worse.

*2021-05-15, version 1.0.3*

I managed to complete the challenges for four weeks in a row but received 0 vouchers. The migration to this app was premature. They should have tested it for beta-testers first and not mandate everyone to update on this new app. The old app, whole design can be improved, still works much better than this app. I hope they can retroactively provide vouchers. Feels like a scam haha

### 1/5 — The App Version That Clients Hate

*2021-05-12, version 1.0.3*

I have installed this about a month ago (I have no choice because the old app will be shut off) and I have been contacting their customer service every week since then. I have sent them questions, clarifications and complaint. Response time is 5 effing days, btw. And I hate how it looks - very busy with a lot of info that can be put in one FAQ page - like for example, in the old app!! This is not how you want your screen to look like after a tiring workout. And yes, synching is an issue and the point awarding as well. This needs a lot of improvement, I hope they’ll listen to the VOC.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App is not opening

*2022-10-27, version 1.1.7*

As of this writing. It has been 2 days already. App cannot be open. What seems to be the problem?

### 5/5 — Doesn’t S Y N C

*2021-10-10, version 1.1.0*

I struggled for so long before I decided to review the app. It’s tiring and stressful to sync steps and heart rate on this app. If ever you missed to open the app and refresh until it sync just for the day, it won’t ever sync. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it won’t sync. Bottomline is you lose your points, miss your goal, plus it adds stress.

### 5/5 — sync issue is worse

*2021-08-11, version 1.0.7*

I Even bought a tracker for this but syncing is still and really the problem. You have to do something about this.🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

### 5/5 — AVOID IF YOU HAVE TO PAY

*2021-07-12, version 1.0.6*

Headache is not worth it. Its NOT REFUNDABLE. If you paid for it your tendency is to get back do all. But the hassle:
1) saving log in is useless, in a day you have to enter sometimes.
2) their problem on the old app is the same. After a while of earning. Your app is going to get more buggy as if it was not buggy the first time around
3) they are not giving you rewards lately effective April 2021. Something is fishy maybe there is some insider job.

### 5/5 — Too many bugs

*2021-06-04, version 1.0.4*

I have a couple of incidence that my data did not sync and lost my rewards. Its really frustrating. I might as well not used this anymore. Its losing its value to me

### 5/5 — Customer service are just repeating their templates.

*2021-05-06, version 1.0.3*

The app will take a lot of refreshing before syncing. Design-wise it's good. But what disappoints me is the hassle when it comes to syncing and disputing the rewards. ALSO terrible email customer service, it's been 10 days since I emailed and included the screenshots of my steps, yet they keep asking for it again. The old app is so much BETTER.

### 5/5 — Worst App

*2021-05-01, version 1.0.2*

Worst app. I would still choose the old vitality app. Way far better than this new app. Support team not replying to the problems raise for a week already. Waaaa..

### 5/5 — It’s a early warning sign! ⚠️

*2021-04-16, version 1.0*

By looking at the numerous complaints and poor ratings of this app, it appears that the app developer is not taking any action. Philam Life or BPI-Philam may deny your family member’s insurance claim the same way Philam Vitality denies your claim for rewards. The way Philam Vitality’s customer service treats its members’ complaints may be comparable to how insurance claims may be treated in the future.

### 5/5 — 200 Gcash per week

*2021-04-09, version 1.0*

Claimed my 200 GCash rewards. Very true that there are some problems when it comes to syncing but I was able to claim end of week. Happy that I don’t need to go to the website to do the assessments

### 5/5 — The best lifestyle app

*2021-04-06, version 1.0*

There’s no any other program that can influence you to a healthier and better lifestyle than this. On top of the rewards and incentives just by being consistent changer my life. 💯
