The AIB Authenticator App enables 2FA (second factor authentication) for your AIB account. The App provides an additional layer of security which will allow you to log in or authenticate critical transactions on your account. Once you are set up you simply have to enter your password, and then approve or deny the push notification sent to your phone. Enrolment is easy. Once you download the app follow the steps to register your device. As part of enrolment you may be asked to create a Digital Profile. Your Digital Profile is a representation of identity information and security credentials which will allow us to uniquely identify you so you enjoy our services more securely. Logging in is a nightmare and I’ve already spent ages waiting in online queue’s with no answers to why it’s not working!! ### 1/5 — Shocking *2025-10-19, version 2.0.0* Insane that a company like AIB have built an app that is central to access all banking facilities yet the application does not work. Way too much security. In the process of moving to revolut business now as I can’t use the Authenticator app as it’s too complicated. I have changed to a new iPhone, and installed Authenticator, which needs registered to the new phone, but when I input the code sent by sms, it keeps coming up “Oops.. something went wrong”. No link or phone number for Support, and impossible to find by website. This after numerous issues setting it up on the previous phone, and the recurring annoyance of having to input your password for every single online card transaction.
