Thank goodness I still had my old phone and turned on the iPhone 14 and the app worked. I wanted a medium well 154 degree steak but after the app confirmed the degrees were met, I got a 121 degree bloody mess. No disrespect to the rare steak folks out there. Checked the temperature with a separate thermometer then threw the steak back on the grill.
