## What is Aidy?

Aidy is the free companion app for people managing Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis (IBD), especially those on biologic treatment. For many people with Crohn’s or UC, remission is the goal. Aidy helps you stay organized around your biologic schedule, track changes over time, and communicate better with your care team.

BUILT AROUND YOUR BIOLOGIC

For lots of folks with IBD, biologics are an important part of their care plan, and staying consistent can be hard. Aidy helps you keep track of upcoming doses, prep ahead of time, and avoid schedule drift.

Aidy offers:
- Easy setup for Humira, Remicade, Entyvio, Skyrizi, Stelara, Omvoh, Tremfya, Cimzia, Simponi, Tysabri, and their biosimilars
- Smart reminders leading up to each dose and intelligent injection site rotation
- Post-dose tolerability check-ins for both injections and infusions, so you can capture how you feel while it's fresh
- A live countdown to your next dose
- Smooth route (IV ↔ SC) or interval switching

MONITOR CHANGES OVER TIME

Flares can be unpredictable, but Aidy helps you log symptoms, stool patterns, meals, and medication so you can spot changes over time and share better context with your GI.

- Describe or snap photos of your meals, then Aidy helps identify your personal triggers
- Severity tracking for common IBD symptoms, plus any custom symptoms you add
- Fast stool logging on the Bristol Stool Chart

INSIGHTS WORTH SHARING WITH YOUR GI

- Modified Harvey-Bradshaw Index for Crohn's and SCCAI for UC, calculated automatically from your logs over time
- Personalized food–symptom correlations
- Adherence consistency for your medications
- Doctor-ready reports you can send to your GI before appointments
- Trends, charts, and timelines for symptoms, stool patterns, food triggers, and self-reported disease activity scores

24/7 AI CHAT

Ask educational questions about IBD, biologics, symptoms, food patterns, and what to discuss with your care team. Aidy uses your logs to give personalized, source-backed information, but not medical advice.

EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE

- Unified daily feed of meals, symptoms, stool entries, medications, and check-ins
- Customizable notifications with quiet hours and SMS opt-in
- Secure and encrypted. Your data is yours; you can export or delete it anytime

Treatment for IBD is complicated, but Aidy helps you stay on top of it.

Disclaimer: Aidy is a self-tracking and educational tool only; it is not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any health-related decisions.

### 4/5 — Very helpful but the AI sometimes

*2026-06-26*

I love using this app. The AI chat is pretty good but it seems to “think” the app has more capabilities than it actually does, which can sometimes make things a little confusing. The daily “articles” often suggest making notes about stools but the stool recording feature doesn’t have any kind of note feature. Still overall very good as long as you have a reliable internet signal.

### 5/5 — Helpful for Crohn’s

*2026-06-25*

With a chronic illness like Crohn’s, it can be difficult to track trends over a long period of time to assess if treatment is working or not. This app has made it incredibly simple to track my day to day symptoms, find trigger foods, and keep track of when my meds are due. Also, it is helpful for giving concise information to a physician to direct treatment.

### 4/5 — Please fix

*2026-03-22*

My problem is persisting and I am off my antibiotics finally but I still can’t delete them from the app, it just crashes the second i tap on it. Please fix this. Otherwise great job

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for flagging this! There was an issue with default dates for some users, and we rolled out a fix for it this week. If you continue to see this issue (or any others) please shoot us an email at info@aidyhq.com.

### 5/5 — Long time IBD patient and happy user

*2026-03-19*

I can across Aidy and immediately had the best onboarding experience. It’s clear the developers understand our pain points as IBD patients! I’m confident I’ll be able to track and manage my condition more effectively now with this app!

### 4/5 — Please fix

*2026-03-07*

Okay so I added my medication on to the app, but after a few days I already knew when to take the stuff (because my mom gets it out for me) and I also had the wrong hour; so I was just going to delete it or something but then when I tap on the meds in the more settings part of the app the app just crashes. Please fix this for me

### 4/5 — Please fix

*2026-03-01*

Just got the app and it seems to think that the date is December 31st, and I try to change the day but it won’t show my stool logs, please help

### 5/5 — Use it if you have IBD, seriously

*2025-10-03*

Extremely slick app. Been struggling with IBD for years but was never consistently able to log my habits/symptoms. Highly recommend Aidy— it makes it so easy to do it and it’s even shown me some triggers that I would’ve never discovered myself.

### 5/5 — Very helpful for managing IBD

*2025-08-21*

Gut Hero has been great for managing my IBD, it helps me figure out what I can safely eat without feeling horrible and track my flares. Hoping they add a way to track appointments soon but I think they will since the devs are always asking for feedback.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! We're working on support for appointments now!

### 5/5 — Physician Approved

*2025-08-19*

I am a family physician in a rural area and I often have patients with low resources and chronic upset stomach who have a hard time tracking their triggers. Tracking food intake is a challenge even with an experienced dietician, so Gut Hero has been a godsend for these folks. I’ve found myself recommending it to patients more and more frequently alongside regular visits to the doctor!

**Developer response:** Awesome to hear Aidy has been able to help your community! Thanks for the review.

### 5/5 — Solve your gut issues!

*2025-08-19*

Tracking food and finding trigger patterns couldn’t be any easier. Highly recommend this app to anyone with gut issues. 👏🏼👍🏻

**Developer response:** Glad to hear you're enjoying Aidy! Thanks for the recommendation.
