## What is AIecholang?

echolang is a private voice translator that runs entirely on your iPhone. Speak naturally — the app transcribes your speech, translates it and speaks the result aloud. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking: your conversations never leave the device.

HOW IT WORKS

• Your speech is recognized on-device with Whisper model
• A 4B-parameter translation LLM (TranslateGemma, running on Apple's MLX framework) translates the phrase
• The translation is spoken aloud with natural system voices

PRIVACY
All speech recognition and translation happens locally using on-device neural networks. The microphone is used only while you hold the record button. Nothing is uploaded, stored remotely or shared with anyone.

REQUIREMENTS
• iOS 18 or later
• iPhone with 6 GB RAM or more (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models, iPhone 14 and later)
• ~3 GB of free storage
• On first launch the app downloads its on-device AI models (~2.8 GB). Please use Wi-Fi and allow a few minutes — this is a one-time setup.
