I really like the app and the purpose of the app but who recently none of my photos will load. It’s just like a blank screen no pictures or videos will load. And keeps having trouble signing in telling me I have to download another app in order for it to work.

Backed up my whole gallery on the NAS then found out that the app gets stuck at Loading every time I try to playback videos. I have to force quit the app to exit the loading screen. Photos open up just fine. My 15pro is on 18.0.

I have seen the disconnection issue that others are mentioning but that didn’t bothered me that much.

For example, LAN, ezconnect.to or DDNS connection? Does this happen to all videos? What is the format and resolution of the video? Nous sommes en 2024 on dirait que l’on est en 2015 
L’application ne sait pas chercher par date. Aucun résultat peut importe la date : exemple
24 décembre : aucun résultat alors que j’ai plusieurs années différente avec des photos 
Le chargement des photos se bloque parfois sur chargement même en local sans ezconnect ou ddns
Pas d’option de souvenir vraiment très basique je regrette un peu d’avoir stopper mon abonnement Google

The app has several problems that make it frustrating to use.  First about half of the photos don’t display and are represented only by black boxes.  If you click on the photo to view it full screen it goes to a black screen.  Second multiple MyPhoto folders are shown when there is in fact only one.

**Developer response:** Could you please tell us how you to upload photos to a NAS? If one uses the AiFoto 3 app on phone to upload photos and with Photo Gallery 3.2.2.r547 in NAS, it'll create thumbnails using the phone resources. Therefore, no grey square boxes on the UI. But if you transfer photo files directly to a folder in ADM's file explorer from a computer, and this folder is a media source for Photo Gallery 3/AiFoto 3, the NAS will use its resources to create thumbnails. This process will take more time, and before the thumbnails are generated, gray boxes will appear in their place. There are a number of MyPhoto folder problems that we have not yet encountered. Please take a screenshot and send the relevant information (NAS model, ADM version, Photo Gallery version, etc.) to curtishsu@asustor.com, and we will help further clarify the problem. The interface on new app is not as good as compared to the original AIFoto app.

Ich habe es probiert. Die Hardware ist wie immer toll bei Asus, aber Software ist nach wie vor Schrott bei dem Verein. Wie kann man den Home/Photo Ordner auf Vol 2 verschieben?

Backup task options not visible in app, are you people serious about developing a working and trouble free app?
All old problems still there and no improvements since months.

Auto backup doesn’t work on iPhone even background app access is enabled.
And if manually app is open it gets frequently disconnected on ezconnect. (Even in home network also doesn’t work properly)
If someone on a trip then no way to do a backup.
I purchased NAS for peace of mind but all money wasted, very slow service and connectivity issues.
I don’t know when will you people solve basic functionality of NAS.

The connection speed and performance of the NAS are depends on your local network status and traffic. Overall the backup feature worked well but for some reason it takes the upload date to be the date on which the photo was taken and not the actual date it was taken to organize. As a result a lot of the photos are miscategorized and out of order

Unable to view RAW file from iPhone backup. Is this going to be supported in the future?

**Developer response:** Hi, AiFoto 3 does not support RAW files taken with an iPhone currently. We have included this function in our software roadmap and plan to support it in the future. Thank you for your suggestion.

I can’t connect to nas as6302T via static IP. Forwarding ports 8000, 8001 did not give any results

Nach dem Login wird nichts angezeigt. Fotos lassen sich nicht in RAW hochladen, nur in jpeg.

Ich habe ein IPhone und wollte ein Backup von allen Fotos auf meinem Handy machen. Freigabe für alle Bilder wurde erteilt, es werden aber nur die Bilder vom Handy runtergeladen, die ich mal ganz am Anfang geschossen haben. Die weiteren Bilder werden gar nicht erst von Ai erfasst. Auch wenn ich versuche, die neueren Bilder manuell upzuloaden, klappt das nicht. Doofe App. Enttäuschend. Und noch dazu kommt, dass wohl kein automatisches Backup von Videos erfolgt. 😔 Ich mag ja die Performance der NAS wirklich, nur dass es diese Einschränkungen gibt, enttäuscht mich. Muss ich mir wohl nächstes mal von einem anderen Anbieter eine NAS holen.

**Developer response:** Hi Domicore, please let me reply in English. We’re sorry that AiFoto3 is unable to perform background upload or backup. This is a general limitation for APPs on iOS. 感觉这个软件没有产品经理。也没有测试。就是一个程序员按照自己的想法随便写出来的。能用就行。但凡把体验做的好一些。我绝对不会买群晖。首先，nas反馈需要登陆。每次需要输入验证码。但是验证码刷新不出来。导致永远反馈不了。第二。电脑端的软件会列出来非图片文件。比如说苹果导出的的编辑配件文件。还有。图片的加载太慢了。我用内网也很慢。我都搞不懂这是为啥。第三。苹果手机备份就备份到一个文件夹，为什么不能按照年月分好文件夹呢。还有，如果图片在icloud上，备份的只是一个缩略图。拜托。先把这些明面上的给优化好吧，下次一定给五星

da concorrência. O AiFoto3 não tem nada de inteligência artificial. Não tem reconhecimento facial ou qualquer outra função que justifique o AI. Talvez esse “Ai” seja de “Ai que besteira eu fiz comprando o Asustor”😂

I’ve been trying to back up my phone pictures for 2 weeks and it’s only done 1/4 of them so far. Find a better app.

Problems:
- doesn’t background upload. App needs to be left open. 
- SLOW. I don’t understand why the transfer is so slow. I’ve moved to a Samba sync/backup and it’s now 10x faster using PhotoSync app. I made more progress in 1 night with PhotoSync than 2 weeks with this app. 
- Drains battery way more than other apps. Not sure what protocole it’s using but this is unnecessary.
- It loses its connections all the time. It’s slow and then somehow randomly stops in the middle of the night.
- It doesn’t support some photos and videos in my camera roll. It’s an iPhone, it seems like there’s that much to support. I don’t know what it’s actually backing up and what it’s skipping. You can’t just backup some things or else it’s not an actual backup!

Siempre con el error presente… no se puede sincronizar  sin el wifi ni en segundo plano…. Lo peor de lo peor y eso que vengo de otro servidor de la competencia que me creía que era malo, pero este es lo peor. Para no enfadarse buscar otra alternativa antes de empezar a sincronizar

Therefore, we provide a "sleep time backup" feature, which allows backups to be performed during idle times with the screen off but AiFoto 3 running in the foreground. Je l’utilise en connexion distante à partir de mon tel, malheureusement l’app est difficilement utilisable à cause de plusieurs pb:

- après affichage d’une photo et retour à la galerie, le message « chargement «  s’affiche et l’app reste bloquée, obligé de relancer. Message qui survient souvent en navigant dans les photos
- temps de chargement des photos trop long 
- navigation par répertoire : ne fonctionne pas (connexion au serveur impossible)

Nach meiner Bewertung haben sich die App-Entwickler gemeldet und nach einem guten und netten Austausch konnten wir die Probleme lösen und jetzt läuft es wie erhofft. Entsprechend ändere ich meine Bewertung von 1 auf 4 ab.

Ich nutze ein Asustor NAS jetzt seit fast 3 Jahren, aber die Apps und insbesondere die Foto-App sind einfach schlecht. Als Backup-Lösung um seine Fotos und Videos vom Smartphone auf das NAS zu schaufeln ist es ok, aber wer damit seine Bilder verwalten und anschauen möchte ist auf verlorenem Posten. Thumbnails werden auch nach Wochen einfach nicht erstellt. Bilder können nicht geöffnet werden. Ich hoffe seit 3 Jahren nun auf einen Fortschritt, aber es kommt einfach gar nichts. Man kauft sich für teuer Geld gute Hardware, aber die Software kann leider nichts.

**Developer response:** Could you please provide us with your NAS model, ADM version, and Photo Gallery 3 version? Additionally, I'd need to know if there are any off-peak scheduling settings configured in the ADM Settings, as this could affect thumbnail generation. Also, in the new version of Photo Gallery 3, there's a button in settings for thumbnail generation that allows you to rescan photo files and create thumbnails. For videos, two things need to be improved: 1. the possibility of carrying out a pre-download in the background before being able to play the video to prevent it from continuously freezing 2. the possibility of being able to choose the thumbnail of the video when viewing the main page of the 'app. Otherwise the app works quite well

Please, make background upload and automatic upload when phone return to the same wifi network, like it works on synology. It,s very important when user have many files in gallery. And it’s ok if this functionality will be ask for location permissions like “always”

Please update app to app photo back up to run in background, duplicate photo removal and to free up uploaded photos on device.

**Developer response:** The inability to upload backgrounds is a general limitation on the iOS system. Regarding removing duplicate photos, you can navigate to the Albums page, scroll right on the top row to access the "Duplicates" album. Inside, you can delete duplicate photos and even videos. The "free up space" feature is currently under development. Thank you for your suggestion.

It’s ok for backup, I just wish I could specify where I want to upload the files instead of the default, and that the error messages were more explicit. 

As for visualisation it REALLY needs improvement. It’s not just this app but the whole photo gallery that can’t show pictures that look extremely compressed, even when going through the web interface.
