## What is ai.imasu?

ai.imasu – Talk your way to English or Japanese

Welcome to the ai.imasu community and meet Arisa and Bruno, your AI language partners. Arisa helps Japanese speakers learn English. Bruno helps English speakers learn Japanese. Pick a partner and start talking.

JUST TALK — LIVE
Have real-time voice conversations with Arisa or Bruno. Speak naturally, cut in anytime, and see every turn transcribed as you go. Replay any line, and turn on furigana when you're practicing Japanese.

ASK "WHY?" OUT LOUD
Stuck on a sentence? Open the AI Explainer to see its meaning and nuance, example sentences, and kanji, spelling and roots. Then start a live session and talk it through with your tutor. Explanations come in the language you already know; examples come in the one you're learning.

EVERY SENTENCE, BROKEN DOWN
Every line in a conversation has Breakdown and Explain buttons. Breakdown splits a sentence into words with readings, parts of speech and meanings, plus a quick grammar tip. Save one word, or add them all in a tap.

PRACTICE YOUR PRONUNCIATION
Listen to natural voices at the speed you choose, then record yourself to check your pronunciation.

LESSONS FOR REAL LIFE
Short lessons built around everyday moments: checking out at a convenience store, ordering at a café, buying cold medicine, using a ramen ticket machine and more. Play them line by line.

WORDS THAT STICK
Saved words and phrases live in Study, with review timed to help you remember them. Boot Camp builds your foundation with core vocabulary and common phrases. Your study data syncs with your account.

PARTNERS WHO REMEMBER YOU
Arisa and Bruno remember details you share, so every conversation feels like catching up with a friend.

Conversations and explanations are generated by AI and may contain mistakes.
