The ability to access videos without a data signal is wonderful. This is a great resource for review, clarification, and new techniques for beginners. Suggestions: Please add a loop feature. Please add weapons kata (including armed against unarmed waza). A final humble suggestion would be to add some sort of "Tips and Tricks" section (e.g. basic ukemi, break falls, shikkou and fine points or details to specific techniques). However the videos are not displayed at the screen location where they should be but slightly shifted. I'm looking for all the beginner videos but they're not sorted into beginner, intermediate, advanced. They're sorted into specific groupings of moves and only labeled in Japanese. There's no way for me to find all the beginner videos unless I know all their names in Japanese. The same for intermediate and advanced. Need to be able to sort vids in multiple ways... By level, by move grouping, etc. perhaps also with English aid. Camera angles are a great help. ### 3/5 — Lots of content- confusing layout *2012-04-12* The content and video of this app are amazing! However, I wish I had purchased the app in its individual sections (Basic 1, Basic 2, etc) because in the full app everything is jumbled together. As a beginner I was hoping to start with the more basic techniques, but because there is no organization option for level I can't really pick out which techniques I should be studying now vs later when I have advanced a bit more. I would also love to see a feature where you can click on the name of the move and have it pronounced aloud. ### 3/5 — Excellent application *2011-09-16, version 1.0* This is a must for an aikidoka. ### 4/5 — Tolle App *2020-10-24* Die App sowie der Aufbau der einzelnen Videos find ich toll. Leider wurde die App schon lange nicht mehr aktualisiert und auf die neusten iOS Versionen angepasst. Das merkt man z. B. daran, dass die Videos etwas verschoben dargestellt werden und die App dadurch öfter abstürzt. Daher auch der Stern Abzug. Aber als Nachschlagewerk ist sie definitiv zu gebrauchen und funktioniert unter den oben genannten Einschränkungen sehr gut. ### 4/5 — Very Good App *2014-06-25* The videos are the best out of alll the Aikido apps out there. This is the best app for after my class, I can open this app and review a technique we had gone over in class if I had a question. The slow-mo and technique close-ups are very beneficial and doesn't require wi-fi or 3g to play the videos (except for initial download). PROS: An excellent reference resource and well worth the money! CONS: Make sure your iOS is up to date though. I encountered intermittent freezing until the update (brand new iPAD4).
