I tried several times it kept spinning asking me for all my info with no response what so ever. None!! ### 4/5 — Clever premise *2019-11-08, version 1.24* Interacting with AI is kinda fun. There are only two things that could be improved. 1. The workflows for same sex relationships have reverence to heternormity. 2. The screen isn't interactive. You can always use your voice. The proof is in the pudding. So far only two matches in one week and only one that I like. I like this, go slow to go fast is important to me. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work *2019-06-20* I want so badly for this app to work but it glitches so much. It can’t recognize me or my voice half the time and gives up on me :(. I also can’t see if it is recording me. Thank you so much, have a great day. ### 3/5 — A much better way to date *2019-06-18* While there are still some kinks to work out...the way this app builds up interest about potential matches and then creates a singular focus between the two people, I think, will result in a much higher success rate than the rest of the dating app crowd. Still needs some work around natural language, design elements and reliability. Some people won’t like that they don’t have total control over how they come across due to candid photos and no going back, but that’s the point! We’ve essentially become our own PR people in the online dating world and the authenticity gets completely lost along the way. Take care :). ### 3/5 — Getting better...still intrigued *2019-06-14* Was super excited by this platform. Started with the initial questions which mostly went fine. Noticed a few “glitchy” things. It never could understand when I said “2” or “6” and every once in a while “3”, which become integral parts of the experience. The questions are different than other dating apps, which is refreshing—but you are only given binary answering options, which don’t always apply (do you like watching sports—I want to answer “sometimes” but yes or no seem to be there only acceptable answers). Again, I’m excited for this platform I think it has huge potential, but until now there was no way to access a menu or help option to report these issues. It’s simplicity is great and I appreciate that it automatically cuts you off at certain points so you don’t lose hours in the app, but being able to access some sort of menu would be helpful. I’m currently planning on sticking it out a bit longer wig AIMM as I really want it to work!! **Developer response:** Hello nickname916! There may be issues recognizing your voice if there is background noise like a fan or other consistent noises in the background, or, if you have an accent. We are currently working on improving this area. Hmm.. “Sometimes” or “maybe” are actually accepted on most questions now, but we’ll double check that particular one. Glad you like the moderation of time, and the simplicity :). We wanted the main function of the app to be easily understandable by anyone even people who aren’t app or tech-inclined. There is a menu in AIMM however, you must access it by talking, say “I have a question” when AIMM is resting or listening. We appreciate you outlining your experience and for sticking with AIMM. I’ve been through the steps to “set up” almost 4 times. I have tried to finish the setup part where the AI asks you questions, but I reached a point where it says ”I am not looking for you, but I will soon. Remember to check back a couple of times a day to get updates.” If the app is not going to be maintained, it soup probably be recovered from the App Store. ### 1/5 — Won’t Load *2023-12-16, version 2.21* Just keeps loading after my name. How long am I expected to wait? Very disappointed I was looking forward to testing this app out. Finally able to get past the name and now to the questions about me but 90% of the time it doesn’t understand what I’m saying which is very annoying. We really appreciate you trying AIMM! ### 1/5 — Never got to matchmaking and is now broken *2019-05-23, version 1.24* Every time I try to open the app it shuts down. I can’t even review the service as it asked me questions infinitely with only giving me two horrible matches in the middle...but now it won’t even open so I’m assuming it’s been abandoned. Don’t waste time on it ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work just yet *2019-03-29* It’s a great idea but it doesn’t seem to work yet, as of March 28. I look forward to trying it again once it’s working. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2018-01-11, version 1.13* Cannot get my voice answers to be recognized by my phone. Since there is no way to type the answers, then what’s the fix? Fun app idea, horrible execution ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2017-11-09* The AI voice cuts out so you can’t hear everything. Plus it assumed I was a man. The multiple choice questions have limited choices that don’t apply to what I want to say. Spent 5 minutes with this stupid thing, now I’m deleting it. If they want to eventually charge $80 a month for this service, they have a TON of work to do. I paid $0 and it’s not even worth that. **Developer response:** AIMM should have been resorting to your name in lieu of not being able to make out your gender. I apologize for this mistake. This may have happened due to low lighting. This issue has been resolved however and AIMM now uses your name to cross verify your gender, however if there is confusion AIMM will now also ask “are you male or female?”. Look for this in the latest update. Additionally, your experience of AIMM’s voice cutting out was likely due to the “tilt back to pause” feature, which was a little hard to discover. This has now been augmented with an explanation the first time you tilt. For all interested: tilting your phone back quickly stops AIMM’s talking in case something comes up outside of your phone and you need a quick break. Tilt your phone back up to continue and she’ll either repeat her last sentence or continue where she left off depending on how much time has gone by. But, I dove in anyway and LOVED it. I love the way aimm talks and the questions she asks. I really like the way she gets to know you. In the end, it was totally worth it. No profiles, no typing, just an organic conversation that leads to real matches. This app is 10 years ahead of its time, it’s a privilege to have early access. No need to make a profile or type anything it does it all for me since it’s fully conversational, it just asks me questions and I answer. I didn’t understand what it was asking me for just after inputting my name, but finally figured out it wanted to say yea or no after typing in my name to confirm. Once i figured out, everything else went smoothly. We’ll see how it goes. Willing to pay 80/month if it delivers. Asks me to hold up phone so it can see me. I do that but it cannot see me very well. Finally sees me but asks for my name. I tell it, it asks again, it still doesn’t get it and asks me to type it in. I type it in and it just brings me back to a blue screen with a white dot and can’t get past that. Tried redoing the whole process like 7 times. After being single for years and trying ALL of the dating apps on the market, I was pretty much DONE with all of them. AIMM however, is really different! The only reason I love AIMM is that it's NOT a dating app! Its actually feels like to talking to a real person that is really trying to get to know you and match you with the best person for you. My girlfriends have always tried to set me up, however, I feel like AIMM knows me so much better. I did try to touch my phone on the first questions until understanding that AIMM is a voice only app - which is crazy and took some getting use too. AIMM doesn’t use text messaging, chatting, or profiles in the traditional sense. There are no galleries, swiping or virtual flirting, or practically anything dating apps have defaulted to for decades. AIMM is more like a friend is getting to know you then setting you up with people. If your friend got to know you she wouldn’t ask you to write a profile, she’d ask you questions about yourself.
