Der Support konnte uns auch nicht weiterhelfen. Die Konkurrenz akzeptiert immerhin Paypal und Apple Pay. Swish lässt sich nur mit einem schwedischen Bankkonto nutzen. Etwas dümmeres gibt es nicht. ### 1/5 — Avoid if you rent a car *2024-12-31, version 1.25.1* If you think this app will make parking a rental car easy and convenient during a holiday in Finland, you’ll be surprised. If you add any of the loyalty benefits to extend parking (e.g. Redi shopping centre), you will no longer be able to delete the car, turn off camera recognition, or remove payment methods. There is also no way to delete, disassociate, or deactivate the loyalty benefit. Therefore, whoever rents the car next, will park on your credit card. There is 0 way to contact Aimo customer service - the app has nothing at all, and their website only has a POSTAL MAIL address. This UX is so bad it’s bordering on a scam. ### 1/5 — Total mess *2024-12-13, version 1.25.0* Terrible customer service terrible organisation ### 1/5 — Notifications don’t work properly - be careful! *2024-12-08, version 1.24* Caught out twice now with app not giving proper notifications about expiring tickets or working correctly on all WiFi settings! Unfortunately, we did not. So we have to pay a 120€ fine in Sweden. So watch out, that it doesn’t happen to you and also try to avoid to use that App, it is the worst! Such apps that are not in english make it impossible to park in places in sweden where it operates. Stay away of this bad implemented software ### 1/5 — Terrible language barrier *2024-07-24* We tried in vain to use this app in a parking garage in Uppsala Sweden. You have to create an account to park. Parkeringsplatsen har inga skyltar dessutom som ger instruktioner eller visar på vad appen kan laddas ner. Går man till webbsidan så finns det heller inga instruktioner och inget länk till vad man kan ladda ner . Inget sånt! Jag har svårt att förstå hur i helvete Sjötorps kommun (eller vilken kommun som Sjötorp ligger i) kan använda sig av sånt djävla skräp app! **Developer response:** Hej! Tack för din feedback. 🅿️ MVH Lucas på Aimo Park ### 1/5 — Aimo-appen *2026-06-20* Var på tillfället besök i Uppsala och behövde parkering för ett par timmar. Varför måste vi ladda ner en app, skapa ett konto med användarnamn och lösenord och fylla i en massa kreditkortsinformation för att parkera ett par timmar? Räcker det inte med en kamera och en enkel skärm där du fyller i ditt registreringsnummer och blippar dit betalkort som tex vid klippan-parkeringen i Västerås? Uselt för oss användare och noll användarvänlighet med föråldrat app-baserat system! **Developer response:** Hej! Tack för din feedback. Det är en balansgång mellan säkerhet och enkelhet. Vi erbjuder alla våra tjänster, men det är i slutändan markägaren som väljer vad som passar bäst på parkeringen utifrån våra förslag. Oftast kan du använda Scan & Pay-skyltar eller SMS-parkering för att slippa appen. 📱 MVH Lucas på Aimo park ### 1/5 — Fungerar inte *2026-05-27* Can’t get past the choose country part in app ### 1/5 — Predatory confusion *2026-03-21, version 1.38.0* Parking is scarce, expensive and almost impossible to understand where and when you are allowed to park. The meter vultures constantly circle waiting for a slip up. Aimo and other parking systems are a reason to not come to Sweden. Oh and if you call them they hang up on you. ### 1/5 — Give me a payment terminal instead *2026-03-14, version 1.37.0* App is pretty but overly complicated. I just want to park and blip my credit card. I don’t want to create an account, add my car, add a payment method and all of that jazz. It took 15 minutes to go through the whole onboarding, and Aimo made me pay for it! Tried multiple times with multiple cards. Man braucht kein Swich. Englisch wäre nett in der app. Hat gut funktioniert. ### 3/5 — Remove rental car when done! *2025-06-01* App and system works fine for parking in Sweden. However, once done with a rental car be sure to remove the vehicle from your account in the app. Months later I got charged a parking fee - it appears that the same rental car was used in a garage and the camera system picked up the tag number that I still had in my account. The app should warn you to remove rental cars! **Developer response:** Hey there! We totally understand your frustration with getting charged for a rental car months after you used it, especially when it was linked to your account. That's definitely not a fun surprise! It's super important to know how our system works. When you add a vehicle to your account and enable camera recognition, you actually manually approve that specific vehicle for this feature. It's not something that happens automatically. Also, when you create an account and agree to our terms and conditions, you confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the vehicle you register. The thing is, our app has no way of knowing if a license plate belongs to a private car, a rental company, or a business. We don't have access to private vehicle ownership data, so we can't differentiate between these types of vehicles. This is why it's really important to remove any rental cars from your account in the app as soon as you're done with them. It's your responsibility to manage the vehicles linked to your profile, especially for services like camera recognition that you've actively approved. We know it's a bit of a hassle, but it's crucial for avoiding unexpected charges.
