I did have to figure out that both machines need to be connected to the same WiFi network (I have several networks from the same router), and if the power causes the Mac to restart, I have to remember to reconnect to the common network. It hasn’t been updated for a while, and the update checker on the Mac side throws up an error message. ### 2/5 — You should’ve explained that it was only for computers *2021-09-06* You should’ve explained it further. This app was great for me because I am paralyzed and my hands don’t work well. I just got a new tablet PC and I can not get this app to work. It just searches and will not find my pc. App support website is non existent. This is one of the few apps I paid for... ### 4/5 — Great but.... *2018-10-25, version 3.5.5* This is a wonderful app that I’d be willing to give a 5/5 to but I’m on Windows and: click & drag doesn’t work, there’s no option to lock modifier keys (alt, ctrl, shift) and in custom layout the scroll up/down mouse button doesn’t keep scrolling (you have to keep tapping it). These are all functions that work in other keyboard apps. Can quickly download install more templates for various scenarios, but.... No way to delete templates (slide to delete as instructed doesn't work.... contacted Dev but no reply). Have to uninstall / reinstall app only way to delete any downloaded templates. Also needs way to rearrange order of templates. (like typical drag and slide routine). Even with above shortcomings still a great app. ### 4/5 — Some features missing, still in progress *2014-09-25, version 3.5.2* I was expecting to see a joystick of some kind. I was thinking just an object which measures the distance, along two or more vectors, between the center of the button and a simple object; and a threshold (positive and negative) for each of them. This object will position itself beneath the center any inputs (usually just 1, the finger) and instantly return to the button when there are no inputs within the area of the object. Also, I have to turn off multitouch gestures in iOS whenever I want to use this app. It is annoying. I have always wondered why my random apps would have a switch to turn off multitouch gestures, and this app constantly throws me to the next screen when I'm in the middle of a game. I would like to see these few features added, as well as an lcd screen like is on some keyboards m but I sense that would be a while out. ### 5/5 — GREATEST APP IN AGES!!! *2014-09-22* Hey, NO LAG! Meaning the numbers you put into the x and y field, will move the mosur THat Far. The co ordinates on this app and the ones on your PC do not match. This app is so disappointing. ### 1/5 — Privacy warning *2015-07-10, version 3.5.4* I mistakenly thought this would use bluetooth to communicate with a PC rather than needing to download custom server software for windows. The license agreement allows the server to collect whatever technical content it can find on your machine so the company can use or sell it. The only limitation is that they cannot personally identify you. The agreement even enables them to capture everything you type and use that too, but they likely are not going that far. If you don't like their agreement or if you don't want to install another server on your PC, then don't get this app. **Developer response:** Hello! Air Keyboard never collects the information you enter into the app. The license agreement is a standard one and says about the possibility to collect depersonalized technical information aimed to improve user experience, crash data, app usage data etc., but never the user data. ### 1/5 — Air Keyboard/ Alexey Filatov *2014-09-07, version 3.5.2* I do not suggest you download this app on an iPad 4! I downloaded the app and it will not connect to the internet and I tried to get a refund but the steps you have to go through are absolutely ridiculous so needless to say; I did not follow through with the refund. It said if you wanted to manually set it up then go to their website and it doesn't give you the web sight....go figure. ### 1/5 — F1-12 keys don't work correctly *2013-12-19* I tried to setup a custom keyboard for use with a game I play on my MacBook Pro. Despite numerous attempts this app treats F1-12 as if fn is pressed even when the fn switch is off of the key settings. Turning the fn switch on in the key settings also has varied effects but mostly behaves like fn key is not pressed. It says in the "what's new" that if you are using a Mac to go on the website and reinstall, I tried to on my iPad but safari won't allow it to download. So I wasted $.99 on something that can't even find my computer. That's great. Way to go! I would not recommend if you love apple. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very useful app *2023-06-04* This app proved to be very useful when I had some arthritis problems in my right hand, meaning mouse use had to be stopped for a while. I found this app, tried the free version which worked well but with limited options. I then upgraded for £2.99 which is a decent price and was able to use my iPad mini 5 as a giant trackpad with two buttons - so was able to continue working. Turned out the ideal app for my situation. ### 5/5 — Incredible value! *2023-04-26* Just love everything about this utility, but it's raw. Would like to see 'undo' and 'revert' to original/loaded options added. But even more, I'd like to see 'cut 'n paste' of items or groups of items both from within layouts and between them too. Really helpful tool to have, just hope that it's not now 'abandonware' and that the author updates it. Recommended! ### 5/5 — Amazing, brilliant app. *2020-11-04* After waiting for over 4 years to find something to take over where CCP by FrozenPepper left off, I use this as a button box for ETS2 and it is fabulous, connecting to a PC has never been easier, works really easy, once you let the iPad see the network on IOS14. Might be worth mentioning that to other users. Look forward to have different coloured buttons than black or grey. ### 5/5 — ElliePoppet *2015-09-27* I was really cautious on buying this due to the negative feedback it had received from some. Normally I'd stay clear as a result however I had a very good reason for taking the plunge and I'm glad I did. My daughter is disabled and has very limited movement. She is unable to use any form of normal keyboard due to the size nor is she able to use a miniature version as she simply doesn't have the strength to push the keys. On purchasing this I set about creating my own setup placing keys within easy reach. It's really easy to use and is pretty much drag and drop. You can even change the size of the keys to suit. For anyone with issues with arms, hands etc this app is revolutionary. It has changed my daughter's gaming life and she can now play pretty much any game she want's. She has different setups for different games and simply selects the one which she's playing. I really can't speak highly enough of this app! Regarding the issues some people have had. Be aware that you need to go to the developers website and install the software onto your PC to make it work. You also need Microsoft .Net Framework. Without this it will not work. The only minor negative is that it's a shame the creative function isn't available on iPods and iPhones. I appreciate there might have been issues with fitting everything on however people using this mode are likely to be only using a few buttons/mousepad. I found this. It does the job perfectly. Excellent app. In fact it's better than the PC's own keyboard because, rather than memorising alt codes, I can use the native iPad keyboard and hold the key down to select the accented letters etc. from there.
