### 2/5 — Old tech?

*2018-01-02, version 2.4.7*

You cannot set your transaction fee yourself so you are stuck paying what ever they deem fit. Moving on.

### 3/5 — Quite ugly, doesn’t emphasize security enough

*2017-12-03, version 2.4.7*

Not only is the interface ugly and quite confusing, this while it does not take enough of the measures to ensure that the user backs up and secure is there bitcoin using the provided mechanisms in the bitcoin protocol. Also, why the heck do I need to give you a username and password… There is no need for this if you properly explained the user how to back up their own wallet. So much for privacy. Also, for any users looking for SegWit functionality, don’t bother. The reports of this app having it are false.

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2017-09-02*

I find this app is simple and to the point. The only recommendation I have is make sure u don't lose your password... do all the security steps recommended, otherwise you'll lose out. Besides that, LOVE IT!

### 5/5 — Excellent wallet

*2017-08-13, version 2.4.6*

Wallet is well thought out and functional. Good security model.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2017-08-09, version 2.4.5*

the best wallet in my opinion, everything you want from wallet, secure, accurate and private

### 5/5 — Top notch

*2017-07-24, version 2.4.5*

Been using for about a year now and could not be more satisfied. Never any problems. Top notch in my book.

### 5/5 — Password bug

*2017-07-22, version 2.4.5*

Entering my password locks up the app. Talked with the developers and they said an update was planned for release this month to fix it. Until it's fixed I would not recommend.

Update: Support was very responsive and they fixed the password glitch. I've had no problems since so changing rating from 1 star to 5.

### 5/5 — Safe and super easy

*2017-07-18, version 2.4.5*

Read info at their site. Super safe wallet on your phone not on an exchange or internet.

### 2/5 — The User Experience is not good!

*2017-07-18, version 2.4.5*

I was recommended the wallet from several other users. Specifically for its ability to pay more accurate transaction fees, versus using the JAXX wallet.

While this is true, the user experience is horrible compared to Jaxx.

1) No shapeshift integration
2) The UI is way not intuitive, way too much clicking around to find/access features.
3) I don't like the btc amount displayed as "Bits". I would prefer to see the 8 decimal places. So I would rather see 0.00050000 versus 50000 bits. Not even shapeshift uses bits. Like common! Stick with the decimals.
4) I don't need to track the details of every transaction either, this should feature should not be turned on, unless wanted. Keep things simple! Jaxx, Exodus, Blockchain are all examples of much cleaner UI/UX.

I don't like this wallet.

### 5/5 — Good

*2017-07-13, version 2.4.5*

Easy

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Need help moving my crypto

*2022-06-27, version 2.4.12*

I am trying to move crypto off of this app but it is not reading the QR code which I assume is the old style address!! I have lots of money, need help

### 1/5 — Broken

*2022-03-21, version 2.4.12*

This app is broken and from what I can tell no longer serviced. I am trying to check an old account and both sign in and account recovery don’t work. Plenty of functioning wallets out there, don’t even try this one

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2022-01-13, version 2.4.12*

I had these guys a couple of years ago, lost my Bitcoin cause apparently they were no longer around and they were transferring all accounts to EDGE, till this day never saw a penny even though I downloaded the EDGE app I couldn’t ever retrieve none of my $500 CDN worth of Bitcoin….and that was the beginning and end of my Crypto interests, thanks Airbitz….now you’re back???

### 1/5 — Highly don’t recommend

*2019-06-16, version 2.4.12*

I don’t recommend this app at all I been trying to send bitcoin to my friends for days now & all I’ve been getting is a loading screen . I hate it

### 1/5 — AVOIDVTHIS APP

*2018-11-29, version 2.4.12*

Ive had the app for 8 months. It had minor glitches, but none that affected my coin. Around 2 months ago, whenever i scanned a qr code it would tell me "no funds found" then magically the money would appear. Now, my funds are extremely delayed, receiving bitcoin days later. The whole is now malfunctioning. Im over it so ill be downloading another wallet. Bye Airbitz

### 1/5 — READ THIS AND PLEASE GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY

*2018-08-14, version 2.4.10*

I hope the title caught the attention of some big employee at Airbitz because I’m getting really ticked off. For a month now my wallet has been showing me 0 btc. I tried resetting the wallet cache like your support told me and I also installed edge LIKE SUPPORT TOLD ME and I still can’t get access to my funds. I can’t seem to understand what’s going on but I don’t like it when people steal my money. I would like immediate HUMAN help. If anyone is reading this...do not download the app. It has a lot of bugs and I promise you, you don’t want to run into this one. Support is bad and doesn’t even pick up the phone, no hold...straight to message.

### 1/5 — They will hold most of your funds as dust bits STAY AWAY FROM AIRBITZ

*2018-06-17, version 2.4.9*

After using Airbitz for almost a year, they started holding what they call dust bits. With a balance of over 6k USD ONLY $900 is available for transfer! They claim it’s due to block chain fees which right now are under $1 per $1000

### 1/5 — Don't use if you need bitcoin fast

*2018-05-20, version 2.4.9*

If you want your bitcoin within a couple days don't get it. When you buy it takes almost 2 days to get your bitcoin. But the app is good for other things

### 1/5 — Better use the BIG BANKS

*2017-11-30, version 2.4.7*

If you don’t hold your bank account with crooks like Wells Fargo or other large banks (less than 10 to chose from?), then this app will be useless for buying Bitcoin. Catch up with the times and connect banks by routing & acct numbers, very simple! Disappointed

### 1/5 — Can't Even Set Up A Bank Account - smh

*2017-07-27, version 2.4.5*

No sense in partnering with a bank (Glidera) when a new user isn't even able to link their bank account. Error message: "Sorry, the request was not formed correctly. The URL may be invalid." Why would you offer their services to customers if their services can't even be used?! This alone has made me decide to switch to another wallet and I haven't even gotten started yet. BUYER BEWARE: US customers will NOT be able to use Airbitz - go to another wallet. And before you ask - no Airbitz, I will not shoot you or Gildera an email. You both are obviously already aware of the problem and email is not the solution to it. Fix it for future customers.

### 5/5 — App

*2018-05-08, version 2.4.8*

### 5/5 — Airbitz Team Offer Great Support

*2017-12-31, version 2.4.7*

I’ve been using this wallet for a couple of years, nearly three actually (2015), and I am very happy with it. I’m not a very technical person and struggle a lot to understand computer language on its own, before I even have to tackle the language surrounding all things crypto currency, the blockchain and the market. I’ve reached out a number of times now to the Support Team and they have been extremely responsive. In fact, when I first had an Airbitz wallet something went wrong with it and I couldn’t open it no matter what I did. I reached out for support and actually received a small bounty for bringing a ‘bug’ to the developers attention - wow! Since then I’ve had no problems with the wallet. It’s so straightforward for me. I tried the Bread, Mycelium, Lux and Hive. None seemed as secure as the Airbitz, and as easy to use. I have the Jaxx now too, which is reasonably ok but I feel my coins are more secure in the Airbitz; plus, I like having the Directory on board. This Christmas I’ve set up another five of these wallets with BTC as gifts for my grandchildren and friends. (Just small amounts to get them started). It felt great doing that. I had a problem with the size of the mining fee I was paying to transfer the small amounts. I couldn’t wrap my head around the instructions on the community board so I once again reached out for support. Literally within a few minutes I had an email with clearer instructions and screen shots to help me. They were so very helpful and polite. I also received help back in September this year when a payment I had made went wrong, at the merchants end. It’s too complicated to explain here.
I don’t know if my brain is ready for the Edge wallet yet so I’ll stick it my Airbitz for now. To anyone reading this review, remember, I’m in my mid-60’s and only started using a computer 20years ago. This might sound crazy but absolutely ‘No one’ else in my family use computers, they use smart phones, and everyone of them think I’m completely mad for ‘falling for this Bitcoin crap’. Well perhaps I am - me and a few million other people.
