## What is Airbus 320 FMGC MCDU Training?

Learn the Airbus 320 MCDU by flying it, not by reading about it.

This is a working flight management computer for iOS and: a scratchpad
that accepts and rejects entries exactly as the real box does, line-select keys,
a message queue, and the full temporary flight plan cycle of TMPY, ERASE and
INSERT. Every character on the display is produced by the model. Nothing on
screen is a screenshot.

Built for pilots converting onto type, cadets preparing for airline selection,
and anyone who wants the box to be second nature before they start paying for
simulator hours.

Sixty working MCDU pages: A/C STATUS, INIT A and B, IRS INIT, F-PLN A and B,
LAT REV, VERT REV, DEPARTURE, ARRIVAL, DIR TO, AIRWAYS, HOLD, OFFSET, FIX INFO,
ALTN, SEC F-PLN, the six PERF phases, PROG, FUEL PRED, RAD NAV, WIND, DATA, the
ATSU, ATC COMM and the CFDS pages

The A320-family faceplate: DIR, PROG, PERF, INIT and DATA on the first function
row, F-PLN, RAD NAV, FUEL PRED, SEC F-PLN, ATC COMM and MCDU MENU on the second,
the AIRPORT key and slew keys beside the keypad, and no EXEC key, because the
temporary flight plan is inserted or erased from the screen

Real navigation data: over 40,000 aerodromes, 216,000 fixes, 16,000 navaids,
9,800 airways and 4,200 ILS, with published SIDs, STARs and approaches for more
than 7,000 aerodromes

Procedures cut properly to the runway you selected, with runway and enroute
transitions handled the way the box handles them

Colour and monochrome display options: the six MCDU colours, temporary flight
plan yellow included, or the whole display in one phosphor green

A simulated ATSU that actually answers: AOC weather requests, ATIS, clearances,
position reports, free text and CPDLC logon through ATC COMM

Works offline. The navigation database ships with the app

Physical keyboard support on tablet and desktop

Sixteen of the sixty pages, the complete worldwide aerodrome, runway, navaid and
fix database, one flight plan, direct point-to-point routing, and full published
procedures for the Madrid to Rome training flight. An entire preflight, A/C
STATUS through to PERF TAKE OFF with a SID, a STAR and an ILS, can be flown
without paying anything.

The other forty-four pages: the ATSU, ATC COMM, the CFDS block, the PERF CLB,
CRZ, DES, APPR and GO AROUND phases, FUEL PRED, RAD NAV, holds, fix info,
offsets and the alternate
