## What is Aircraft Weight and Balance?

Aircraft Weight and Balance by NoseApp is an easy to use and convenient weight and balance calculator for general aviation pilots.

Features:
- easy workflow: build, buy or use a free template, create an airplane based on the template, and create weight an balance reports for that airplane;
- an evergreen template database;
- easy to use template editor;
- use arm envelopes, moment/1000 envelopes, or both;
- supports variable arm fuel tanks, with one table for unlimited entries;
- US and metric measuring system;
- in cloud synchronization for templates, aircraft or reports;
- the reports can be exported to pdf, printed or emailed.

The pricing model is very flexible, and, although the app is free to download, there are no ads to anoy you. Instead, you pay for the features you need. 

If all you need is a single template, you can buy it and use for unlimited aircraft and reports. 

If you need more than three or four templates, or you want to create your own templates, you can buy the configurator for a one time fee. The configurator is free to evaluate, but you have to pay to save the template.

If you use the app on multiple devices, you can buy the NoseApp Synchronizer function as a yearly subscription for $3.99, and set it on any device you prefer. The subscription is necessary to maintain a fast and reliable connection.

The NoseApp Synchronizer auto renewable subscription is subject to the following terms of use:

• The synchronizer subscription allows the user to synchronize your templates, aircraft profiles and weight and balance reports on multiple devices for a period of one year;
• The service is offered by contracting third party services from Google Inc.;
• The subscription price is $3.99 USD per year or equivalent, as calculated by Apple;
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase;
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period;
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal;
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase;
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. However, this subscription is not subject to a trial period.

Requires a yearly subscription and in-app purchase to actually use. App hasn’t been updated in three years as of writing this.

Every few years they shut down and rebrand the app, unfortunately right after I renewed my annual subscription. So I’m supposed to buy it again and rebuild my envelopes after getting burned? Formerly known as Aviation WB.

**Developer response:** This app was always named as it is now, it was never re-branded, and it was never related in any way with any other weight and balance app. If reliability of information is important to you, I would suggest you double check your sources, especially before you accuse somebody of scamming people.

I paid for the template editor and the sync. Neither work. After spending time creating a new template, there’s no way to save it.  I want a refund on the in app purchases. They don’t work.

Don’t waste your time with this app. Crashed 3 times in first 5 minutes and no template exists for my common GA twin. The app can not be used to create a W&B template by entering info from the POH

I just downloaded the app and purchased the template builder.  This was very easy to set up.  I didn’t really need the sync for other devices but it did save me a little time and not have to retype everything into my iPad.  When I did purchase the sync function it was seamless.  Just make sure that you turn on the sync functions in the settings.

The only issue I see with this program is with the print or email function.  When I print or email the W&B it sends the W&B report only with all weights, arms and moments but no where in the printed or emailed report is there a way to verify that this is actually in CG.  (This is easily verified in the APP just not the emailed / printed report)  It would be best if they included the details, charts and summary or let you choose which ones to send, that would allow you to see all the information and verify CG without referring to the app.   This is really not a problem for 99.9% of the non commercial pilots, its not like I am flying the big plane and sending the report to operations before dispatch.

After seeing the only 2 bad and unfair reviews on here feel like I should play a little devils advocate here. I gave it a go... Everything seems to work just like it should. Received my confirmation email promptly and all the calculations come out accurate based on my previous calculations. And yes, there are in-app purchases but you buy what you need. I’m a student pilot so, my needs are very simple. Very easy to use. Though I haven’t had the need, but it seems like contacting the developers is easy... lots a transparent ways to get in touch, unlike some apps where it’s almost impossible. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I downloaded this app and purchased a template, I created an account but can't login because the email hasn't been verified, but no email was ever been sent, nothing in my inbox, spam, or trash. I tried to do a password reset and it says they sent me an email, but no email has ever arrived....

**Developer response:** I’m sorry to hear that you still had issues after I replied to your email. As I stated in the reply, you have misspelled your email address. This resulted in the verification email being sent to an email that does not exist.

Moreover, you don’t need to login to use the app on one device. You simply download your template, create your airplane and you are good to go. The template is always yours, logged in or not.

Clever.  To make a template for your plane you have to buy a separate editing app.  Found out too late.
