### 1/5 — This App Got Dumber!

I really wanted to love these air purifiers, which is why I invested in multiple AirDoctor units for my entire home. Unfortunately, the app has become more frustrating over time instead of improving.

The Wi Fi connection is constantly glitchy, devices randomly disconnect, and getting everything back online is a headache. For a premium product that costs this much, I expected a reliable app and regular improvements. Instead, it feels like the software has gone backwards.

After reading the reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one experiencing these problems. I contacted customer support hoping for a solution, but they weren’t able to resolve the issue.

The air purifiers themselves may work well, but the app seriously lets the whole experience down. If I had known the app would be this unreliable, I honestly would have reconsidered buying so many AirDoctor units. I hope the company starts investing in fixing the software because their customers deserve much better.

I don’t understand other reviews. The app works well and gives good information. It was easy to setup and update. I can access my unit wherever in the world I’m at. I’m not a computer geek. This app is a good app with the best product for better air quality. I’ll update if things change.

I’m on my second air doctor AD5500i because the first one wouldn’t read temperature, humidity, etc. as it advertised. Their customer service said this was a known issue with the equipment. I just installed the replacement they sent me, and same issue. I’m also now getting “internal server errors” and it’s not reading anything at all. So, now it’s even worse. Who releases apps this terrible, is my real question. Good lord.

I wish I would have read here before buying an $1100 purifier. This is nuts that I can’t see any stats or even connect to the device. I also use a BlueAir device and love the ease of the app/device. Bye AirDoctor

There are no values for the air particle count. Just a scale with no information at all. It’ll show a peak in particles, but your guess is as good as mine with what that actually means. The weather part of the app hasn’t loaded since I’ve downloaded the app.

I reached out to support and spent quite some time with them to get my AirDoctor to connect which it did not. They said it was an issue with the app or system itself and created a higher level ticket and that someone would reach out. It had been weeks and I have still not heard back. Sad this does not work when it worked before.

Literally just spent 1200 dollars total on the 5500 smart purifier with an extra year supply of filters . I go to download the app and it doesn’t even connect to the app when setting everything up . Definitely a trash App ! What’s the point of spending extra money on the smart purifier if we can’t even use the feature ??? Garbage !

App paired to my AD3500i but doesn’t provide any details as to indoor air quality. PM2.5 lists “no data available”. I wish I would have known this before spending the additional $200.00 to have this information.

I bought the new AirDoctor 5500 so i could connect to Wifi but the app will not allow me to create an account. I get the message that my country (US ) does not match my zip code .. I have repeatedly taken app off and reinstalled / turned off my phone and changed my zip code since my town has two. Still the 
same message.
