Aired is where you go when you sit down in the evening and think — what am I watching tonight? Every show you're in the middle of. Every premiere you'd otherwise forget. Every season you finished and half-remember. One place, ready when you are. GUIDE Every premiere, finale and new episode for the week ahead, laid out by night. The service carrying each one sits in the margin. YOU The next episode of everything you're watching, in one list. Swipe a row and it's logged, and the row moves on to the next episode. Your watchlist and the shows you've finished sit underneath. WHERE YOU ARE A ribbon marks the episode you're on and everything above it goes grey. The show page carries how far behind you are and how long it would take to catch up. DISCOVER What's popular this week, ranked toward what plays where you live, and a search box for the thing somebody told you about at work. IT ALL ADDS UP Seasons, episodes and hours, counted from what you've ticked. IT ONLY TELLS YOU THINGS YOU CAN ACT ON A notification when an episode you're ready for airs. A nudge the evening before if you're one or two behind. Further behind than that, nothing. IT KNOWS WHAT'S ON HERE Aired quotes the service for one country at a time — yours. Terrestrial channels as well as streaming, so a BBC show reads BBC ONE. HAVE A LOOK FIRST You don't need an account to browse. Make one when you want the app to remember where you are. WHO BUILT IT Four friends in Ireland who watch too much TV and got tired of losing track of it. Aired is small, and we read every support email that arrives. Show and episode data from TMDB. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 3.0 — 2026-09-09 Aired 3.0 — completely redrawn. • A new look, top to bottom. Aired reads like a listings page now: one ink on paper, and the only colour on screen belongs to the shows themselves. • Three tabs — GUIDE, YOU and DISCOVER. They hold their place, so switching between them no longer reloads anything or loses your scroll position. • GUIDE is the week ahead laid out by night, with the service carrying each episode in the left margin. • That service is the one for your own country, terrestrial channels included, so a BBC show reads BBC ONE instead of nothing at all. • Region is a setting now rather than a filter buried in search. • Notifications only when you can act on them: on the day an episode airs if you're level with the show, the evening before if you're one or two behind, and nothing at all if you're further back than that. • A finale, or a show coming back for a new season, is marked on the row. • Faster throughout. Screens paint straight away instead of waiting on data that isn't the point of the screen. • A new app icon and splash screen. • Aired no longer asks for access to your photo library. Removed in this version: following, profiles, blocking, people search and season reviews. Aired is a private record — what you watch is yours, and no other user can see it. Anything you had already written is still on file, untouched. ### 2.0 — 2026-08-16 Aired 2.0 — the biggest release since launch. STREAMING FILTERS Set your region and filter by the services you actually pay for. Show pages now tell you where a series is streaming where you are. AUDIENCE RATINGS Every season shows what everyone else thought, next to your own score. TASTE MATCHING See how closely your ratings line up with the people you follow. GUEST MODE Browse without an account — and it now remembers, instead of asking again every time you open the app. REDESIGNED Floating navigation and sheets, a proper type system, and a pass over every screen: episode logging, the show page, search and Home. FIXED The confirmation link in the signup email now lands on a real screen instead of an error page. Placeholder episode titles repaired across the catalogue. ### 1.2.0 — 2026-05-27 1.2.0 • Home rebuilt around Up Next — your next show is now a swipeable hero card instead of a carousel tile. Swipe up to mark watched. • "Popular this Week" replaces Popular, and expands into a full grid when your personal sections are empty. • New landing screen — meet Aired through a curated lineup before you sign up. • Browse as a guest — explore shows, search, and friends' activity without an account. Sign up when you're ready to track. • Glossier poster art across the app. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-05-15 Four screens got a redesign. The new walkthrough shows what Aired does before you sign up. Home is one scroll now — Up Next, Friends, and Popular together — with episode badges on the shows you're tracking. Search browses by genre: Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Crime, Animation, Documentary, Reality. The profile page has a cleaner library and stats layout.
