I’m being taught the translation for ‘coral reef’ in Italian while my grammar is still at a basic level. This kind of vocab is only of interest to a very advanced learner. I love the cultural knowledge nuggets too. Gets 1 star because they constantly create popups for the paid service and it has become debilitating. ### 1/5 — App is broken *2026-08-17, version 3.26.0* App was going really well then for some reason the app jumped back to a lesson i had already done in a previous section and now it is stuck there so i can no longer progress with the language no matter how many times i complete that lesson so now i can no longer use the app. There is also nothing on the app to request assistance with these problems. ### 1/5 — Very upset. *2026-08-11* I am very sad right now. I left the app for like 20 minutes and it gave me a popup with an emoji suggesting they were judging me and pressuring me to do a lesson. They put something on my home screen with angry faces. I wasn't doing it because it wasn't loading! It was lagging like crazy when it finally did load and the voice sounded like someone who couldn't read. Extremely basic words. App only built for phones so you can see the individual pixels on my iPad. Garbage app that pressures people and gives me even more anxiety than Duolingo (impressive). My suggestion for this app is to add sign language in American, British, and Quebecois, including the most invented language, Esperanto, so it can make learning more accessible for everyone, whether it is a young child learning something new or an elderly person refreshing their language it has an opportunity to provide practical skills through lessons and cultural insights. It teaches you words that actually matter when starting a conversation unlike other apps that just tell you coffee, milk, boy, etc. They progress with the learning and teach you the language in a way that explains it perfectly and fun! There is a certain amount of classes you take before it tells you to pay for premium but it’s not like only one lesson and then you’re kicked out, it’s a decent amount.
