### 5/5 — Very Neat

*2015-04-13, version 1.0.1*

This app is actually amazing. We no longer need to hire any complicated wireless audio recording equipment. This app does it all. Stick the mic on the actor/presenter and plug it into an iPhone. Then record!!! So simple and the best thing is it works really well and very simple to use!!

### 2/5 — Great concept, but fails at execution

*2018-04-28*

I was really looking forward to using this app. After finding this app, I bought a few lav microphones and hooked them up to my talents phones. The mics were all wired because I saw that another reviewer thought wireless microphones had some interference. However, even with these, there was still some slight sound distortion, presumably from it being recorded over a Wi-Fi connection. The problem gets worse if you are trying to use a hotspot and record in a location where there is no Wi-Fi, because all of the AirLinc devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi or else it will not work. However, without high-speed Wi-Fi, the phones disconnect and of the audio sounds terrible. Overall a major disappointment and a waste of $15.99!

**Developer response:** Hi Bamboosels - not saying you are, but it sounds like you may be trying to record direct out of the monitoring stream into your camera. If that's the case, then you're going to hear some noise, as the monitoring stream, although fairly good quality, is never going to be as good as the audio being recorded direct onto your local devices. That's because the local device records direct from the mic (not over the Wi-Fi connection). You'll notice when you stop recording, AirLinc sends a copy of the audio from each local device back to the master and these recorded tracks are then kept in the 'takes' folder. This is how you will get clean audio from every mic'd up device without any interference. Regards, the Airlinc team

### 3/5 — Make it possible to record with only one Device!!

*2017-03-23, version 1.2.2*

Please add one device functionality. You will definitely increase your sales.

### 3/5 — Great Idea, but maybe bad for analog audio

*2017-01-15*

I love the idea. Unfortunately, audio recording with AirLinc are noisier than with something like Rode Rec for me. I'm guessing it's because the phone's Wifi antennas are causing interference with my analog mic (a Rode VideoMicro). If you've got a digital mic working through lightning port, it might work better--no intereference from wireless signals in sound.

### 4/5 — Just what I needed!!

*2017-05-15*

This is a perfect app for what I needed, thank you. The only thing is that the monitoring is like 1 sec delayed. Would be 5 stars if you could fix that.

Other than that, AMAZING

**Developer response:** You should try the multichannel version - it's available now on the app store!

### 4/5 — Works as advertised

*2017-03-04*

Does what it says it can do and the audio stream was nice and smooth....to earn that 5th star make it interapp and Audiobus compatible...and I hate to say it but with those features added charge a few bucks

**Developer response:** Hi Bkrafty - thanks for your comments. We have just released our multichannel version and, although it doesn't have inter-app audio (yet) we think you will be impressed by the new features we have added. Regards, the AirLinc team

### 5/5 — Easy to use and pretty foolproof

*2024-11-21, version 2.4.0*

Easy and cheap way to record & monitor multiple channels of wireless. Great fail-safe feature: copies of the recorded files stay on the local devices even after automatic transfer to master device.

### 5/5 — Love this for music and videos

### 5/5 — Love this app - great for podcasting too!

Updated review:

We LOVE this app. You can see the original review below — thank you AirLinc team for responding.

This app has been a blessing! We’ve used it both for our feature film and for podcasting! Haven’t little acoustical control of our environment in an apartment in the city, using a lav mic reduces so much of the issues with a usual microphone.

The quality is amazing and it’s really provided a strong solution to multiple sound issues. We promote at every chance.

Worth the download, worth the $15 for full features.

Original review: While the app itself worked well enough, the main reason for this review is that in the terms and conditions they mention anything “posted” to the apps they then have the rights to. When I reached out through the form on their website to ask them to clarify what this meant and if that meant they have access to content recorded using the app I received no response. It’s been about 4 weeks. Depending on the content you’re using this for, you might want clarity on this first, too.

**Developer response:** Hi Whataboutthis - Thanks for posting your concerns. Our support email has been playing up since our latest website upgrade. It has now been fixed so if you could resend your email outlining your concerns and we will reply quickly. Regards, AirLinc support. Update - Hi whatabuotthis - we replied by email to your concerns and I hope you will edit or delete this review. It simply is not possible for us to access user files and the clause you refer to in our end user agreement is not intended to allow us to do that. We would never access user files.

### 5/5 — Easy Peazy

Wow! Works great and the app is so easy to use.

### 5/5 — Legit to the core - great app

*2016-11-22*

This app delivers. It is extremely useful and has very good sound quality. I wish it had a bit of realtime sound enhancing or perhaps an equalizer but it is clearly the best wireless mic app I've ever had the pleasure of using.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2016-01-29*

Works perfectly for my use. System is smartly designed with local recording and syncing, and live listen works with surprisingly little latency. Awesome app!

### 5/5 — I've been waiting for this!

*2015-06-01*

This is an excellent application. I've been waiting for something like this for a long, long time. The next step for the developers would be to add a second in-app purchase, which would allow the connection of multiple remote microphones that could be enabled with one button from the recording part of the application. To then have the remote streams combined into one multichannel clip would be fantastic.

**Developer response:** Hi - thanks for your comments gawat! As it turns out, we have just released our new multichannel version and you can download it from the App store right now. You can connect multiple iOS transmitters to one receiver with this new version. Regards, the AirLinc team

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2015-05-22, version 1.0.2*

Airlinc is so easy to use and really professional!!
