The "air quality" on this app is filthy. ### 5/5 — Quality *2026-08-11, version 1.2.3* I check this apt a few times a week to see if air in my home is stabilizing. I added an air purifier in a few rooms. ### 5/5 — Not working *2026-08-06, version 1.2.3* It just quit working ### 1/5 — Not very useful *2026-08-06, version 1.2.1* Filled with adds, confusing layout, lack of useful information. If you are just looking for an app that tells you the basics, maybe this one is ok? ### 2/5 — Meh. *2026-08-05, version 1.2.1* This is barely helpful. Not enough details. ### 2/5 — App has different AQI than website?!? *2026-07-26, version 1.1.18* Just like I said, on the website it says current AQ as being good, but the app says "moderate" ...which one is correct?? ### 1/5 — Never accurate *2026-07-19, version 1.1.10* It’s always wrong by a large gap ### 1/5 — Totally out of sync *2026-07-18, version 1.1.10* During the Canadian wildfires that blanketed SE Michigan in hazy smoke and AQI scores in the 500s on local news, this app was stating “Moderate “ in the 100s and didn’t update to dangerous until the worst was past, three entire days later. So that ranks it as useless. No way to contact anyone in charge, so double useless. ### 1/5 — Annoying ads *2026-07-18, version 1.1.10* One ad claimed that I was out of storage space -and was prompting me to click on the ax to clean the situation up. The ads pop up first, and have to be bypassed. Worse, a wildly inaccurate value for particulate levels reported. Deleted app and do not recommend. Go to the website instead for airnow.gov. ### 1/5 — Commercials *2026-07-17, version 1.1.10* Commercials ## Frequently asked questions about AirNow ### What does the AirNow app do?
