## What is AirportNotes?

Airport Notes is the community airport guide for general aviation pilots — built on official FAA data and enriched by the pilots who actually fly there.

Start with the facts. Every public-use airport in the U.S., backed by official FAA data: identifiers, runways, frequencies, elevation, and airspace — plus VFR sectional charts right in the app.

Then go beyond the A/FD. Airport Notes adds the things the FAA database doesn't tell you — the FBOs, Fuel, Food, and Fun:

• FBOs — who's on the field, with amenities, hours, crew cars, and contacts
• Fuel — what's available and where
• Food — fly-in dining and restaurants on or near the field
• Fun — things to do once you're on the ground
• Lodging and services for longer stays
• Field notes from the pilots who've been there

Save your home airport and favorites for quick access, and get notified when your submissions are reviewed. Or even better, Host your home and favorite airports to submit and modify the entries submitted by others. Correct the times they are open. Add the address to the hotel. Modify the venue for the event. Sign in with Apple or Google.

Airport Notes is community-built and growing every day. The more pilots who share what they know, the better it gets for everyone.

Run an FBO? Manage your listing and keep your details current — free.

Free to use. Built by pilots, for pilots.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-02

Made a change to the date picker for events. Was defaulting to UTC, so an entry made in the afternoon pushed the event start to the next day.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-08-06

Airport Notes 1.1.2 is live

• Over 200 Skydiving Drop Zones added
• Over 100 local farmers markets, craft shows and events on or near an airport
• Over 80 new reasons to fly somewhere — museums, parks, restaurants, hiking and more
• Over 70 airshows added
• Repeating, scheduled Fly-in Meals are now in the Events tab
• G100UL fuel prices can now be reported

Free on Web, iOS & Android — airportnotes.com

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-23

• Added Events and Airport Hosts!
• Events: Add a 1 time event on a date, or a recurring event on the 3rd Tuesday or the 1st Saturday or a yearly event, Like EAA's Airventure in Oshkosh, which is where we are sending this update from.
• Hosts: Become a moderator of your home (and all your favorite) airports. Let your local knowledge tell everyone where you bring your friends for lunch when they fly in for a bite, or the hotels to stay when they need an overnight, and the things to do like hiking, golf, museums and the local art show on Saturdays around the corner, when they stay a little longer.
• Fixed some back end issues with submitting notes that could cause the Submit screen to have a seizure.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-09

• Larger map pin tap targets — easier airport selection on the map
• Show/hide password option on all password fields
• Sign-out confirmation
• Reliability improvements

### 1.0 — 2026-07-07

No release notes.
