App would instantly crash on my iPhone, I downloaded to my iPad and could get the app to open but would not control the ADJ Boombox FX2 fixture I bought that came with the included IR headphone jack sensor. Thought it would be better is the app had a page that you could customise the buttons. ### 5/5 — Works well *2015-09-13, version 1.2.4* Got given some of the headphone jack IR transmitters by ADJ at the BPM DJ show so downloaded this app and tested it out. Nice and simple to use (just replicates the existing remote control that comes with your lights) - but much easier to use in the dark! Works well with ADJ inno pocket spots and means we don't need to DMX for smaller events. ### 3/5 — Actually does work...kinda *2018-08-09, version 1.2.6* I am using an iPhone6 Plus with recent iOS update and lightning plug in to 3.5 mm adapter to plug IR diode into (instead of headphone jack). Per the instructions for my Boom Box FX1 UC IR/Airstream Control some of the features do not work with the Boom Box FX1, (could be an issue if you are expecting those features to work). The ones that I did get to work include Stand by, full on, show, sound on and off, usually. There can be a delay of a few seconds between the time you select an option and when the light responds, it isn’t for the impatient. The IR diode and the app were free, the overall performance is just above what I would expect for the price. Is it worth what I paid for it, yes. Who would I recommend it for? Anyone with lots of patience and operating on a shoestring budget. For everyone else, try the UC IR Wireless Remote. ### 3/5 — Upside down *2017-04-03, version 1.2.6* My phone's jack socket is at the top of the phone so it would be good if the screen could rotate. ### 3/5 — Can't get app to work *2017-01-28, version 1.2.6* I bought 4 inno pocket spot lzr fixtures that came with the IR headphone plug to work with this app. I have spent about 2 hours trying to get the app to communicate with the fixtures and can't get it to work. I've read the fixture manual several times and watched videos on YouTube and searched the web. There simply is no troubleshoot information if you can't get the app to work. I'm sure it's a great app but until I can use it, it's useless. ### 3/5 — Limited (actually none) Documentation *2016-06-23, version 1.2.5* Seems to work on my iPhone 6, but not on my iPhone 4, which I had hoped to use as a remote. The actual IR emitters you need to purchase are relatively cheap ($20 for 4 of them), but there is little documentation as to what features work on which fixtures. Could only get a couple commands to work on my ADJ InnoPocket Scans .. not actually sure which ones are SUPPOSED to work. Needs some work and documentation. ### 2/5 — Not working iPhone 8+ *2017-11-24, version 1.2.6* Tried this app with my iPhone 8+ and doesn’t work. Maybe it’s the lighting connector you now get for headphones, that’s the problem.
