## What is AisleWise?

AisleWise — Scan. Shop. Save.

A smarter shopping list that starts with your camera. Scan barcodes to add items instantly, track spending across stores, and see exactly where your money goes — all without creating an account.

Scan first, shop faster Point your camera at any barcode. AisleWise looks it up, fills in the details, and adds it to your list. No typing, no searching. The scanner runs full-screen and stays live between scans — add a whole cart in one session.

Scan receipts, track what you spent After checkout, scan your receipt. AisleWise reads it on-device and saves the store, date, and line items as a trip. The Spending tab shows your actual spend over time — see where each dollar went by store and by month.

Swipe, tap, done Every row supports gestures. Swipe right to check, swipe left to delete, tap to edit. Long-press for a quick-action menu. Common actions don't need a modal.

See where your money goes The Spending tab breaks down where your money went by store with a visual donut chart and tracks spend over time — so you always know where you stand after checkout. Per-store budgets live on your list, scoped to the store you're shopping.

Organize by store Create separate lists for each store you shop at. Switch between them in a tap. Items remember their category, price, and details across stores.

Home screen widgets Small, medium, and large widgets show your current list, item counts, and recent additions right on your home screen.

- Recents & List Polish; Buy the same things every trip? Recents remembers your last 30 checked-off items across every store — tap one to add it back exactly as you bought it, no retyping. 
- Checkboxes are tappable now; checked items tuck into their own collapsible section, and you can add items by typing a name instead of only scanning. 
- A new Category sort shows your list in order. 
- Plus better receipt parsing across the board.

Spotlight & Siri
AisleWise now shows up in iPhone search. Look up a store, an item you still need, or a receipt from last month — tap the result and go straight there. Siri got smarter too: "Show my Costco list" opens that specific store's list, and you no longer have to say the store name exactly right for it to work.

Fixed & More Accessible

Fixed a bug where the widget could show stale data after scanning a receipt or using a Siri Shortcut, and added a clear alert if restoring from iCloud ever fails. The Spending chart and barcode scanner now work better with VoiceOver.

Backed Up
Your shopping lists, trips, templates, and settings now back up automatically to your private iCloud — and restore when you set up a new phone or reinstall AisleWise. No account, no setup; just be signed into iCloud. A manual Restore from iCloud also lives in Backup & Restore.

Sharpened Edit any saved trip — tap the pencil to fix the store, date, items, or total without rescanning.

The Spending tab now focuses on what you actually spent: a new Spend by Store donut for the last 30 days, plus a Total / By Store toggle on Spend Over Time. Tap any month to jump into those trips.

Scan a receipt and AisleWise checks off matching items still on that store's list.

More languages — Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese (Brazil). Plus locale fixes for currency display and receipt totals.
