Everything is controlled by pressing buttons rather than using tablet gestures to zoom or move from page to page. Its feels like a program from 10 years ago. You can’t bookmark and the only way to advance to a specific part of a book is by selecting the page number, so you have to scroll page by page to find a section you’re interested in, that’s a pain for a book with nearly 200 pages. AK you need to sort this out, in this day and age this app is just not up to scratch. ### 2/5 — Abandoned? *2026-01-30, version 3.2.0* Unable to find the print version of a book I wanted, I opted for the digital copy via this app. The content loads OK so that’s something but if I try to even see the price of any of their other titles, the app just crashes. It’s been awhile since it was updated so it may be abandoned. ### 1/5 — No iPhone to iPad connection *2025-09-22, version 3.2.0* Bought a book on my phones app. Tried sending it to my iPad. “Restoring purchases” didn’t resolve the issue. Now I’m stuck reading on my tiny phone ### 1/5 — Doesn’t synchronize purchases between iPhone and iPad *2025-08-10, version 3.2.0* Purchased book on iPhone version of app. Tried to use “restore purchases” on the iPad app, does not work. ### 1/5 — Can’t Even Purchase Anything *2024-11-29, version 3.2.0* I can’t even buy the book I’m attempting to purchase. I purchase AK products and they are great but an app like this. I can’t get my books from the library or even purchase new ones. It’s just gets worse and worse. Surely they have a development team in a basement who can fix it ### 1/5 — Lost the book from my app. *2024-04-08, version 3.2.0* Needed the book today and can’t see to see it in the app anymore. Not sure what is wrong ### 1/5 — Really poorly optimised. *2024-02-18, version 3.2.0* The content is the same price as buying a paper copy but the app isn’t remotely optimised for the publications. None of the pages fit the screen properly and some are incorrectly oriented (Portrait when it should be landscape etc). For this to be the digital bookstore of a big name such as AK is just embarrassing and shows how little they care about what they sell their customers. More bugs appear once you purchase things with many purchases going missing, just check the other feedback. ### 2/5 — Wish I could download my purchases to Apple Books app *2023-11-27, version 3.2.0* The books are fantastic, but the PDF reader isn’t the best. Makes it hard to scroll through the book as it is very slow and seems to be lower quality images.
