Scrolling? It crashes. Adding something to cart? It crashes. I’ve spent $300 with a competitor of theirs whose items I don’t love as much simply because their app doesn’t have these issues. Please stop making it so hard for me to give you my money 🥲 ### 3/5 — Love shopping Akira But hate the app *2025-07-24, version 4.4* Akira needs to find a new IT company to fix their app and their website. It’s my favorite store and I go inside the store to buy my items or have the store order them and ship them to me. I’ve tried to use the App and deleted it. It keeps buffering and restarting. The website is just the same. Takes too long to load and it’s not clickable friendly. You can’t move around the website like you should smoothly in this new world of technology of online shopping with the price of Akira products there is no way the app or the website should operate this poorly. ### 3/5 — AKIRA *2025-07-12, version 4.2* Cute clothes. Web & app are very slow ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE *2025-06-24, version 4.2* I placed an order for a coat to be received on my birthday. I moved and didn’t realize I never updated my address. I contacted customer support within 30 minutes of placing my order and was informed the order cannot be changed, when I inquired if the order can be canceled, I was told that since it is after hours on the weekend I would have to wait till Monday. I sent an email to follow up on Monday and they refused to cancel the order due to me missing the 3 days cancellation period. I tried for months to track the package that’s was delivered out of state to my previous address. I was offered no help and the package was never found. I have disputed the charge several times with my bank and was informed that because FedEx took a picture it’s proof of deliver over the emails I have sent to customer service to attempt the address change, shipping cancelation and refund request. Email is no help as the responses come from a bot and it does not offer any option to call and speak to a live person. ### 2/5 — Confused *2025-05-26, version 3.9* I love Akira it’s one of my main go to stores for a fun outfit and the app has been promoted to me so much. I finally downloaded it…only for it to make me make a new account and then not accept it any of the times I tried to login……even though the site lets me???? ### 1/5 — Very GLITCHY APP and WEBSITE *2025-05-23, version 3.9* Love shopping at AKIRA but the app and online service will annoy you due to slow uploading , takes you to unwanted links on the site , restarts and reboots in the middle of transactions. Both the new site & the app are extremely glitchy. It’s constantly interrupting the shopping experience with slow load times, resetting you to the top of the catalog and not saving your place when you view a product, incorrect reward point counting, not displaying the sale price until you click into the item, honestly, I can go on. It took more two days to search and add everything to my bag because, of course, I can’t sit down and do this all in one shot with a family to tend to. As everyone stated, the scrolling in the app and then the random reboot of the page that takes me back to the top is what made me think that I can go on my laptop. The discounts on the app is what makes me want to use the app but shopping online has never been so stressful ### 3/5 — Glitchy when scrolling for a longer period *2025-04-06, version 3.4* I recently downloaded the app. I was very excited to discover AKIRA finally has an app! Only issue is, I’m the type of person who likes to look for generic items like ex: “red shorts” and I’ll scroll until I reach the end of the search. I noticed with this app that every time I try to do this ‘type of search’, it will eventually timeout and send me back to the very top of the page. I would have been scrolling for a while and then suddenly I’m back at the top. Super frustrating. I give up, I’ll be back when they fix this bug. ### 2/5 — Crash and burn *2025-03-28, version 3.3* Love the variety and uniqueness of the clothing selection but since the new layout of the site, the app constantly crashes. Ill put in filters and at any piint when scrolling through selections the app removes the filters and brings you back to the top. Much to my disappointment, there was a noticeable blemish on the focal point. I requested a return but was told they were final sale. So, is this how Akira gets rid of damaged merchandise? I’ve reached out to customer service on their website, via email and Facebook and received zero response. Shady shady company ### 1/5 — Dont Even Try *2025-12-22, version 5.3* The first time I opened the app after downloading and it froze my entire phone. The “allow notifications” pop up wouldn’t go away and just sat in front of anything I tried to do - siri, power off etc. Couldn’t click it away or swipe it away, even took 15 minutes and 4 reset attempts to finally get my phone to power down. I have to take pictures of the items so that I can put it in the search bar and find what items I want to purchase!!! As it loads and gets toward the end of a category, which takes at least 5 minutes for dresses, it freezes then kicks back at the beginning to start all over again. Never can shop the entire category as it won’t load then stops. And shopping through the browser is just as bad. I won’t shop here anymore because it’s too frustrating.
