This app provides a font and a keyboard for the Balinese script that can be installed for use in any text app on your iPhone or iPad. Use it to read and write Balinese in Safari, Messages, Mail, Notability, Pages, and more. Installation instructions are included.

The Balinese language is spoken on Bali and some neighboring Indonesian islands, and is traditionally written with its own script.

The keyboard and iOS are designed to protect your privacy: The keyboard can send text you type only to the application within which it is used; nowhere else. It does not access any other of your data.

Fixed a bug where text could be rendered black on black in dark mode.

### 2.0 — 2024-09-11

Gantungan and gempelan now have their own keys on separate keyboard layers. This should make it more obvious how to enter them. The adeg adeg key now always inputs its standalone form; it’s no longer used to enter gantungan and gempelan. Consonants are now located in the top rows for a consistent design of all layers.

The keyboard and the Ubud font now include the Balinese characters introduced in Unicode versions 14 and 16.

The Ubud font has improved line metrics.

Several bugs have disappeared. Bye-bye!
