## What is Al Huda?

Al Huda is free to download. Full access to the features described below requires Al Huda Plus, available as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription after onboarding. Eligible new subscribers may receive an introductory free trial; Apple shows the exact price, trial duration and renewal terms before confirmation. People who acquired Al Huda before subscriptions began retain permanent Founder access without subscribing.

Al Huda is a private, local-first Sunni prayer and Ramadan companion for iPhone.

KNOW WHAT COMES NEXT
• See the next prayer, countdown and complete daily timetable.
• Follow the shape of the prayer day in the Times tab.
• Choose your location, calculation method, Asr convention, high-latitude rule and local offsets.
• Review the settings and freshness behind every calculated schedule.

FACE MAKKAH
• Use live Qibla guidance on a physical iPhone.
• See the calculated bearing and the compass accuracy reported by the device.
• Keep a static true-north bearing available when live heading is unavailable.

RAMADAN AND EID
• See fasting-day Fajr and Maghrib boundaries from your prayer settings.
• Keep future Ramadan and Eid dates clearly labelled Expected until you record confirmation from a source you follow.
• Save local Eid prayer details and source links.

TRAVEL AND LOCAL PRACTICE
• Preview prayer times for a planned destination.
• Keep Home, Current and Destination settings separate.
• Save a local Jumu'ah mosque and congregation time without presenting it as astronomically calculated.

PRIVATE ZAKAT TOOLS
• Estimate Zakat al-Mal using values and a Nisab source you provide.
• Keep Zakat inputs transient and on-device.
• Use a separate Zakat al-Fitr calculator.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account.
• No advertising.
• No analytics or behavioural tracking.
• No Al Huda backend.
• Prayer settings, authority records and preferences remain on-device.

Prayer times depend on the selected location, time zone, calculation method, Asr convention, high-latitude rule and any local offsets. Qibla guidance depends on device sensors and the surrounding environment. Future Ramadan and Eid dates remain Expected until confirmed by the user from a source they trust. Zakat and travel features are calculation and logistics tools, not religious rulings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-19

Prayer reminder setup is now verified before onboarding finishes, helping ensure the full multi-day on-device schedule is ready from the first day. This update also strengthens reminder queue validation and includes stability improvements.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-14

Al Huda 1.3 fixes an issue that could turn prayer reminders off after the app was closed and reopened.

• Prayer choices stay enabled, with a longer capacity-aware schedule and best-effort background refresh.
• Browse prayer times by date in a new Calendar experience.
• Qibla now settles more calmly while the compass acquires a reliable heading.
• The Times arc makes the current moment easier to identify.
• Prayer countdowns now show hours and minutes.
• Refines onboarding, widgets, Apple Watch and general reliability.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-08

Al Huda 1.2 brings the app to Apple Watch and adds Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

• On Apple Watch, see the next obligatory prayer, its exact time and remaining time, today’s prayer schedule and Qibla direction. Watch-face complications keep the next prayer visible on supported faces.
• Home Screen widgets show the current calculated prayer period and the next obligatory prayer. Lock Screen widgets keep the next prayer concise, with its exact time and remaining time where space allows.
• Adds a complete Hindi interface across iPhone, widgets and Apple Watch.
• Improves Apple Watch presentation, right-to-left layouts, localisation and reliability.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-28

Al Huda 1.1 introduces Times: a new full-day prayer view with a celestial timeline, next-prayer focus and clearer calculation context.

This update also:
• adds 14-day subscription trials for new users while preserving Founder access for everyone who acquired version 1.0;
• refines Qibla readiness so the action remains available long enough to tap;
• unifies the scenic Al Huda background across settings and detail screens;
• improves Arabic and right-to-left presentation; and
• fixes layout and navigation issues throughout the app.
