### 2/5 — Alarm time

*2021-12-26*

Alarm time not showing , fix it.

### 3/5 — Potentially very good but...

*2021-05-10, version 1.5*

Searching for a simple straightforward alarm clock app, this one looked ideal and, wanting to have greater control over the alarm time, I purchased the Pro upgrade.
Using the app on both an iPhone SE and an iPad mini, both running iOS 14.4.2, the alarm time display works properly on the iPhone, but doesn't work at all on the iPad.
On both the iPhone and the iPad, whilst the options screen dispays correctly when selected when using the app in portrait mode, when selecting 'Options' whilst in landscape mode only part of the Options screen is displayed, with none of the slider controls visible and with the "Done" button also off-screen. The only way to return to the main clock screen is to close the app and re-open it. Very poor.

### 2/5 — Only 12 hr format

*2020-08-05, version 1.5*

Paid for the pro app but some functions don’t work like display alarm time. There is no 24hr format and the screen dimmed ok but the close app bar at bottom of screen remains fully lit. Clock deleted as all this annoyed me.

### 4/5 — Home bar at bottom of screen ruins the app

*2019-10-30*

Great app, but.........Why have a bright home bar at the bottom of the screen which you can’t remove or dim? Lights up the room at night. Please fix this ASAP

### 4/5 — Great. Needs one fix

*2018-05-05*

Love the app. Needs to just add one thing. On the iPhone X, please hide the home bar when the app is open. Can’t use this in a dark room because the bar is always there and bright. Also you should add new clock faces. I would even pay for some “packs” of faces. Add the home bar thing and you got 5 stars from me though.

### 4/5 — Good but can be better!

*2017-09-13*

Like the simplicity and ease of use. However setting the alarm needle to correct time is not quite easy as needle jumps back and forth; needle will always be a few minutes ahead or behind the exact time.

### 3/5 — IPhone 7 plus

*2017-08-03*

It's OK

### 3/5 — Good

*2017-06-01*

I love the look, but I wish there was a way to set the snooze duration and have an am/pm setting - leaving the alarm set for the next day.

### 4/5 — Nearly there but not quite

*2017-05-16, version 1.4*

Just downloaded the Pro version after trying the free one for a few minutes. As I wear glasses, having a large clock at night is very useful and I was happy that the free version filled the screen of my iPhone 7 Plus. However, the Pro version does NOT expand to fill the screen. Very frustrating!! Even though I switched on the option to display the alarm time it does not and why do the "swipe down to dim screen" and "Explore more options" instructions have to remain on the screen all the time?! No big deal but unnecessary and takes away from the clean look. More importantly, the snooze period defaults to 9 minutes which is too long for me. Why not allow users to adjust their own snooze time between 5 and 10 minutes? Finally, an increasing alarm volume would be the icing on the cake. Everything is copied from Braun alarm clocks so why not copy that feature as well?

### 3/5 — AM or PM

*2017-05-13*

How do you set the alarm for AM or PM?

### 3/5 — Fair

*2017-05-04, version 1.3*

I simple don't enjoy, or use, this clock app. Have found several others that suit me much better.

### 4/5 — Excellent, but iOS update, please

*2017-04-12, version 1.3*

Title says it all. I've been using this for years and it's great as a compliment to the iPhone clock app. The only two clock apps I bother with.

### 3/5 — Nice interface but could be better

*2017-03-03, version 1.3*

This would be perfect if you added a sweep second hand.

### 3/5 — Nice looking clock

*2017-02-20, version 1.3*

However it appears to be to easy to inadvertently change time or shut off the alarm. When setting the alarm time you can only set it 12 hours in the future. It lacks the ability to set alarm times over the week. You have remember to set this alarm every night. The alarm clock that came with my iPhone is more reliable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — What did I pay for?

*2022-07-30*

I purchased the paid version for the extra features and the app is the same as the non paid version. The promised features did not appear with the new app - just a menu for the features that does nothing. Also the menu cannot be entered in landscape orientation or it will be unusable and inescapable. Refund please!

### 1/5 — Pro version total crap

*2021-01-01, version 1.5*

Pro version same as free version - utter rip off!

### 1/5 — This WAS a great alarm clock

*2020-11-15, version 1.5*

Last updat was 4 years ago and with the last iOS update the pro version will not open - opens for a second and closes again

### 1/5 — Quit Working

*2020-11-08*

I’ve used this app daily for years. Imagine my disappointment when it failed to work after updating to iOS 14.2. Please fix!

### 1/5 — Beautiful face, poor mechanics

*2020-07-15, version 1.5*

There are several issues with this app, which makes it pretty much useless.

You can only set the alarm for the next 12 hours. If it is 7:05 am now, and you want to set it to 6:45 am next day you have to wait until 6:45 pm. Otherwise the time jumps ahead by 12 hours when you cross current time.

Setting alarm precisely is nearly impossible. You have to move the Alarm hand by swiping and it often jumps when you release it. A more traditional time entry mechanism would be very handy.

Background alarm doesn’t work. It simply pushes notification but doesn’t play the sound.

I also don’t like the fact that hands cover digits instead of ending inside of the dial ring.

Bottom line—the app needs a few minor, but very important fixes to be worth its price.

### 1/5 — Used to be great, now it’s broken

*2019-01-26*

This has been my perfect, reliable alarm clock for years. It started breaking sometime last summer or fall. I think it must have been iOS 11. Going off in the PM but not in the AM, giving a tiny bleat and then stopping without snoozing but then going off that night interminably. Now with iOS 12 and the bigger phones it doesn’t go off at all. I guess they’re not updating it because they don’t respond to email. Huge disappointment because there’s nothing else that looks like a simple classic alarm clock and that has a good dimming switch.

### 1/5 — GeryG

*2018-06-02*

Alarm should have am/pm setting or a 24hr clock.

### 1/5 — Music no longer works

*2017-12-05*

This was my go to alarm app for years, but the music feature no longer works. When you go to select a playlist (or album or artist), you just get an arrow that takes you to individual songs in that playlist, and you can only pick one song. Who wants to hear the same song over and over? I love the simplicity of the interface, but if it can’t play a random song from a playlist, it’s no longer useful for me. What a shame.

### 1/5 — Do not download, iOS incompatibility issue

*2017-04-04, version 1.3*

This app is incompatible with the iOS that is coming out later this year. The developers have not bothered to update this app in 4 years.

### 1/5 — Pro version buggy

*2016-12-10, version 1.3*

Upgraded to pro version but none of the features work plus it slows my phone down and I keep getting warnings from my phone. Not worth upgrading.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-12-31*

Minimal👌

### 5/5 — Very nice but

*2019-08-07, version 1.5*

Can you please rid the white line that represents the home button at the bottom of X series phones

### 5/5 — Not Perfect, But VERY Close

*2017-08-19*

I've used this app, Alarm Clock, for a couple of years. While I'm not really "old school", there's something satisfying to me about the analog look. There are 3 small things I'd like to see changed: (1) when I touch the screen to change the alarm time, the alarm pointer jumps back a couple of hours; (2) the alarm volume setting may work perfectly for an actual alarm, but it seems to have little or no impact on the volume of music used as an alarm (I'd love to be able to set a sequence of multiple songs…); (3) I dim the screen as much as the app allows, yet, if a notification comes in (Apple really needs to fix that so it doesn't happen), the screen brightens and stays bright. That being said, those are minor things and I really like the app!

### 5/5 — Nice

*2017-06-03*

A truly simple, clean design with no complex, never used options. I like it.

### 5/5 — Need sound up

*2017-06-01*

Need sound volume up

### 5/5 — Just Perfect!

*2017-05-11*

The recent update turned this already excellent app into the best analog clock app I've ever had. The gorgeous design & excellent alarm function are terrific. I use this app throughout the day since the alarm is so easy to set whenever I need a reminder.

It's earned the prominent place I have given it on my home page. After trying many others, I've finally found the clock app that meets my every need.

### 5/5 — Favourite bedside clock

*2017-05-09, version 1.4*

I use my iPhone as my bedside clock in a case that let's me prop it up on edge. I've used 'Alarm Clock' for the last 3 or 4 years - having tried (and paid for) many of the others. Quite simply it's my favourite. Simple. Minimalist. Easy to dim. Easy to use the alarm.

I was getting worried because it was a 32-bit app and so wouldn't have worked in the next (64-bit app only) version of iOS. Happily they've just upgraded it and made it compatible. Awesome.

### 5/5 — Updated review

*2016-12-29, version 1.3*

With the latest OS update(10.2) all functions have been restored. Dimming, exact alarm time etc. work again. I'm a very happy camper. Hands down this is the best alarm app out there! Clean, easy to set and nice default alarm tone. Now if they would only bring out an AppleWatch companion app...

### 5/5 — Superb

*2016-10-11, version 1.3*

Although the App Store has hundreds of alarm clocks, it's hard to find a good one – so I was very pleased to track this one down. It's simple, elegant and easy to use. Just like my old Braun battery alarm clock. The system-wide screen dimming function doesn't seem to have caught up with iOS 10 yet, but apart from that it's perfect.

### 5/5 — Excellent but....

*2016-10-02*

I just to love this app but now is not working properly with my new iPhone 7 Plus none of the options are working when I select the Background Dimmer the snooze function or the Display Alarm time and I go back to the alarm they automatically get unselect not allowing me to keep them select, I delete and download the app twice but still not working hopefully development team can check into this issue because I love this Alarm
