### 1/5 — Not a Reliable Alarm

*2026-03-04*

Great idea and the chess puzzles themselves are good. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t function like a real alarm. It only sends a notification every minute, and the alarm sound + puzzle start only after you open the notification. There’s no option for the alarm to go off automatically. If your phone is on vibrate, this won’t wake you up. Cool concept, but the implementation makes it unreliable as an alarm.

**Developer response:** Hey stay tuned because we are working on an update that is going to change the implementation of the alarm to make it consistent and reliable!

Edit: The new alarm feature is up! The alarms are now highly reliable.

### 3/5 — Great concept

*2026-02-13*

This app feels like it was the first project of someone who got into app development just to make this. It is a nice idea, I love chess and I think the concept of having to solve a chess puzzle to turn off an alarm is fun. However there are limitations to this, since it doesn’t use the native clock app. The quality of the puzzles is good.

**Developer response:** Thanks! Working on the native alarm functionality

### 5/5 — Great app

This app is literally “Alarmy” but for us chess players :). Perfect practice and annoying enough to wake you up completely in the morning <3

**Developer response:** Cheers! Glad that you like it :)
