## What is AlarmPop?

You don't have an alarm problem. You have a turning-off-alarms-in-your-sleep problem.

AlarmPop makes going back to sleep much harder: every alarm pairs a system-level alert with a wake-up mission and pre-armed backup defense. By the time you've won, you're not snooze-zombie awake. You're awake awake.

RINGS LIKE IT MEANS IT
- Built on Apple's AlarmKit - full-screen, system-level alarms that ring through Silent mode and every Focus
- Once scheduled, alarms survive force-quits, crashes, and iPhone restarts
- Original synthesized alarm sounds built to cut through sleep
- Standard mode keeps a proven backup alarm armed for about 3 minutes later
- Want maximum pressure? Relentless Mode pre-arms 100 follow-ups every 30 seconds for 50 minutes and rotates its strongest tones
- iPhone controls can quiet the current alert, but an already-armed follow-up can bring it back. Complete the mission or use Emergency Exit to cancel the remaining chain.

MISSIONS THAT ACTUALLY WAKE YOU UP
- Math Gauntlet (Base) - wrong answers add MORE math
- Bubble Pop (Pro) - pop every bubble, dodge the red decoys
- Typing Chaos (Pro) - type the absurd phrase, exactly
- Memory Flip (Pro) - match the pairs before you can quit
- Sequence (Pro) - watch, then repeat the pattern
- Shake It Off (Pro) - shake the phone till you're out of bed
- Tap Attack (Pro) - whack each target before it vanishes
- Sing It Back (Pro) - hum the melody back on pitch
- Snap the Spot (Pro) - walk to your coffee maker (or toothbrush - anything far from bed) and re-photograph it
- Scan to Silence (Pro) - scan the QR/barcode you stuck across the room
- Jumping Jack Attack (Pro) - the camera counts your reps
Every mission has five difficulty levels. Doable half-asleep - but only just.

MAKE WAKING UP A GAME YOU CAN'T QUIT
- Daily streaks and a Wake-up Score you'll want to screenshot
- A celebration screen worth sharing (yes, even at 6 a.m.)
- Mystery Roulette (Pro) - you don't find out your mission until it rings
- Mission stacking (Pro) - chain up to 5 missions if you're hardcore

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. Photo missions are matched entirely on your iPhone - no AI, no cloud, your photos never leave your phone. Your alarms, streaks, and stats stay on-device too.

START WITH MATH
Keep up to 2 alarms active with Math Gauntlet at any difficulty plus the Siren and Klaxon sounds. Preview every released sound and explore every mission before upgrading. AlarmPop Pro unlocks unlimited active alarms, every released mission and sound, plus mission stacking.

### 3/5 — Can easily turn alarm off

*2026-08-16*

Does not work as advertised. Alarm can easily be turned off.

*Update* - Developer responded very quickly and addressed my concerns. I look forward to trying this again once the next update is live.

**Developer response:** We appreciate the feedback. The volume/power buttons can quiet the sound temporarily - this cannot be overridden per iOS - but the alarm persistently returns until the task is completed. However, the current backup is too forgiving so an update arriving in the next few days adds Relentless Mode with 100 follow-up alarms every 30 seconds with changing high-intensity tones. As stands, the mission must be completed to disable the alarm + follow ups. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Love the missions!

*2026-08-13*

Really loving this app. Definitely annoying if you can’t get it right off the jump, but so great!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-20

NEW: RELENTLESS MODE
- Turn it on per alarm under Backup Defense
- If the current ring is quieted, 100 independently pre-armed backups return every 30 seconds for up to 50 minutes
- Backup tones rotate between Siren, Hornet, and Cataclysm to prevent one sound from becoming another snooze cue
- Completing the mission or using Emergency Exit cancels the remaining chain
- Emergency Exit now takes a 16-second hold; an optional Relentless exit makes you follow a moving target for 20 cumulative seconds before typing the confirmation
- Keep up to 2 alarms active on the base tier; Pro removes the active-alarm limit
- A new dark-navy AlarmPop icon makes the app easier to spot at a glance

Standard mode still keeps one proven backup armed for about 3 minutes. Existing alarms stay in Standard mode unless you opt in.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-11

6 new alarm sounds and 2 fixes your mornings will thank us for.

NEW SOUNDS - six original 60-second compositions where nothing repeats, so your half-asleep brain can't tune them out:
- Hornet: an angry swarm that never settles
- Rattler: a dry rattle with no rhythm to latch onto
- Glitch: circuit-bent stutter, playful mayhem
- Tantrum: knocks, shrieks, and stings that keep changing
- Meltdown: relentless pulse, full commitment
- Siren Mk2: the signature siren, re-tuned to cut deeper

FIXES
- Typing Chaos now accepts the iPhone keyboard's curly apostrophe - phrases like "Thursday's" no longer block you from finishing the mission
- Sing It Back has a Replay Melody button, for when you couldn't hear the tune the first time
- The Submit button now stays visible above the keyboard in Math and Typing missions

### 1.2 — 2026-08-11

AlarmPop 1.2 gets you OUT of bed - the camera missions are here.
- Snap the Spot: register your coffee maker, your toothbrush, anything inconveniently far from bed. The alarm won't stop until you walk there and re-photograph it. Matched entirely on-device - no AI, no cloud, photos never leave your iPhone.
- Scan to Silence: generate a printable code in-app (or use any barcode you own), stick it across the room, and scan it to shut the alarm up
- Jumping Jack Attack: the camera counts your reps in real time
- The torch turns on automatically so dark 6 a.m. photo checks just work
- 5 new Mayhem alarm sounds: Shockwave, Thunderclap, Meteor Strike, Arcade Blaster, and Cataclysm - all original synthesized audio, preview them right in onboarding

### 1.1 — 2026-08-04

AlarmPop 1.1 makes wake-up missions clearer, more personal, and harder to escape.
- Sing It Back now starts reliably on the first ring
- Full typing targets and typed text stay visible
- Preview every alarm sound before saving
- Tap any mission to see exactly how it works
- Set your own four-word Typing Chaos phrase
- Memory Flip now gives you a quick opening peek
- Leaving an unfinished mission pulls the backup alarm forward
- New electric-blue alarm styling

### 1.0 — 2026-07-30
