Then it lost my ID. Tried to reinstall and now just crashes when trying to add an id. Note also that id scan is impossible due to lack of closeup focus. ### 1/5 — Worked then it didn’t - updated review *2026-02-13, version 3.0.0* This app originally worked for a while. Then when I went to check it today it says I didn’t have any credentials loaded. Now it doesn’t even recognize my information and gives a DMV mismatch error when manually entering the information directly off my Real ID drivers license. You should delete this app from the Apple Store and the developers should make it so it appears in the “wallet” app. Big waste of state money and resources IMO. Seemed to work for a bit and now it is saying no credentials found. This app needs a complete overhaul and rebuild from the ground up. Has anyone had success with this? ### 1/5 — Disappointed! *2026-02-07* I had the same issues as a previous reviewer, in that when pointing the camera (iPhone 17 Pro) at my license it was either out of focus or too small so it would not capture (does not allow camera to focus). It also failed the manual entry portion. I really thought it was a great idea, have tried twice by deleting and downloading it a second time. No difference. I suggest a change to the coding that allows the camera to focus automatically. Doesn’t seem impossible with so many apps that do that kind of thing. The response stated click on link to receive a code and the website it directed me to did not appear to be an actual MyAkasja website. Again responded to support and stated this and the quick response I received was “A new incident has been commented”. The app settings don’t allow close focus, so you have to manually enter everything. Then, despite matching everything “the information doesn’t match the DMV records” maybe tell me what you think doesn’t match. There’s only two pieces of information to enter that I haven’t known either my whole life(dl number and issue date) or at least 20 years (phone). Then you can manually put the information but then it doesn’t match the DMV records and cannot proceed. Does not save any progress so I had to start from scratch so many times and eventually gave up. ### 1/5 — Non-Functional Garbage App *2026-04-04, version 3.1.0* Prepare to download an app that is completely non-functional. It does not communicate with the DMV, then provides the error message blaming you for everything info that doesn’t match the DMV’s. I have tried 30 times over the past few weeks. A handful of times, I securely got past the last 4 digit SSN verification and it scans my face in an attempt to “match” the DMV (again), then promptly closes the whole app, which forces the user to go through the whole process again. Looked great. Went in a few weeks later and there was no record of me. I usually have my id always with me but I'm sorry this convenience won't work. Just went in and my id showed up. The app works—though I had to manually enter my information to authenticate during set up—but what’s the point if we still need our physical license on our person while driving and why use this company? Since 2022, nine states and one territory have fully integrated with Apple’s program allowing citizens to add their government-issued ID to Wallet, and several more states are reportedly working toward integration. SOA, stop taking the lazy route by going with a janky third-party program. We’re 1/4 through the 21st-century for crying out loud, so get with the times by integrating with Apple and passing a law so that we no longer need to carry a physical driver’s license. Lest we end up one of the last states to opt in, sometime in the 30s, 40s, or beyond. ### 3/5 — Helpful. *2025-03-19, version 1.0.39* Really helpful app. Girlfriend had her purse stolen a few weeks ago, and we’ve been struggling getting her a replacement. The writing on scan does not fit in square like picture here. App crashes and makes you start all over every time rather than picking up where you left off. Too many bugs. ### 2/5 — Camera Access is Terrible *2025-06-24, version 1.0.39* I’ve tried three separate times to scan the barcode on my license, but the app won’t fully access my phone’s camera to allow me to focus the shot. After manually entering my information the same problem happens when I try to scan my face for an ID match. Glasses or no glasses, the camera scans too fast and won’t let me focus the shot. So the facial ID fails each time. I might try again one more time when I have the opportunity to do so, but if that doesn’t work I probably will delete the app and forget it ever existed. ### 2/5 — Camera doesn’t work *2025-06-10, version 1.0.39* Camera doesn’t work to enter/scan ID(Barcode Scan Failed).
